Nude Barbs! :)

I've become really interested in the strength bug and I wanted to make a barb that utilizes it. Could someone who owns a barb with the str bug tell me their stats and equip? Heres my future equip for reference:
*note: this is a pvp conc barb*
Helm: Arreats
Armor: 'Stone' Shadow Plate
Weapon: eBotD Zerker
Shield: Stormshield
Belt: Tgods or Verdungos (still deciding, togds better for +str tho)
Gloves: Dracs (+15str)
Boots: Gores
Rings + Ammy: Angelics

Annihilus Charm +13 stats

Whats the min i would have to put into str to make the glitch work? I'd really appreciate some help.

Heaviest str req. is from shadow plate, which is 230 str req.

If you dont use t-gods {i dont think t-gods is very useful here..}, but you do use arreats & perf dracs, you take away 35 str from that, so now you are at 195 str.

Now take in the stormsheild's +30 str & +30 attributes from ebotd, and you can take away another 60 from 195, which is 135 str.

Finaly take in your anni and remove 13 str from that, and your base str will have to be 122.

First obvious problem is that your arreats has a str req. of 118, and your zerker axe will have a str req of 101. Both of these will show up with your current set up and if you try for min. str.

Also do note that you wont be able to use alot of your gear till you can use that anni.




To get around this little flaw, i would suggest making your "stone" out of an archon plate {str req. of 103}. Then your heaviest item would be your stormsheild {156 str req}. Start taking away all your +str again {- 30 from ebotd, - 20 from arreats, -15 from dracs, -16 from 'stone', and -13 from anni}, and your base str for this set up should be 62.

Do note that puting the gear on at this point will be tricky. Already you should have enough +str to use drac's, and using the anni wont req. any str at all. So you should be able to go back up to 90 str. The next closest thing is that zerker axe which requires 101 str to use. This is a problem, being that you dont have any other +str in your gear to get up to it.

So you have two options at this point, keep 62 as your base str and use lots of +str charms that add up to +11 to str, or make your base str 73.

I'd prefer 73 str base. If your going to spend that much in gear for a barb, using +str charms wont fit in very well. :lol:

i would prefer to go for a kraken shell or shadow plate (for the looks ;)). what would i have to do for a kraken shell?

if i use str charms to get enough str to use my gear and i die will i be naked when i put on my body [assuming that i still have all the charms in my inventory]?

OK am in eseast ladder and i play public game melee duel alot and i think my barb is pretty godly he can kill most of zealer's and conc's barb and other melee char...and my barb is str bugged to hell...the only item that is not str bug is the rings and ammy.. ok here's my equip and stat...

sorry for kinda 'stealing' your thread but its a question relating str bug so :buddies:

does frw penalty applies if str bug is used? for examp. if i use stone in eth sacred armor but im wearying it str bugged do i get penalyzed ? :lol:

You want a rate for your barb, but you don't even speak about your build itself (skill points, playstyle, purpose :scratch: ?). I fear it's a cookie-cutter one (so rating is pointless, there's no creativity in following a guide line by line), and I fear that you're one of those who think that trading/buying/whatever godly stuff makes a godly player. I don't think so... Anyway, isn't it self-evident that with all this gear, your barb is on the top ? I wonder why you need a rate to realize this :thanks:.

The str bug is just a graphics flaw. Frw penalty still applies.

in euro-pvp they have banned using the str bug for items with run/walk speed as causes desynch apparently.
the opponent doesn't see your run speed correctly so lots of 'teleport'.
