We need some more details. IE, your machine, router, school server ?? If its just your PC with no firewall then it will open automaticly (duh!).

EDIT: to test jump into a command prompt window and run "netstat". You SHOULD see 4000 in their somewhere

EDIT2: If its a router and a half descent one it should have a web interface . goto http://ip.of.router in a web browser to see :thumbsup:

Depends on your router. You want to forward it to you computer. There are sites that tell you how, don't know any offhand though.

if u have something life zonealarm ither make sure d2 has fulla ccess or the firewall is turned off..
