North Korea missile test/satellite launch

Re: North Korea missile test/satellite launch

Yeah I have. It's about as far along as the NK nuclear weapons program.
While missile defense is not perfect, clearly you have not educated yourself about its progress.
There is no satellit in an orbit, that wasn't the point, of course. They just wanted to scare neighbour countries with a rocket which can reach them. Calling it a setallite test was just the official justification. Using Saro's metaphors, they said they are going to test a vacuum cleaner while it was actually a gun. The next step will be loading it with their ammo.

I'm not sure which payload their rocket can carry, but once they have one which can carry their nuke, their neighbours will have a big problem and once the rocket can reach any point of the world (which is about the same as being able to send such a payload into an orbit), the rest of the world will have that problem as well.

What will China's do about it ? I mean substantial plans, not just what they say officially. I cannot believe that they will allow North Korea to continue on their road for much longer, that would be silly. Maybe they will try a "If we get Taiwan, we will care about NK" policy, so things might go pretty well for China right now.
You where saying Amra?

The North Koreans can obviously launch their missiles and get them where they want to.

And that means the missile defense system doesn't work?
I said that the missile shield is about as effective as the north korean nuclear missile program. How on earth could you translate that to the missile reaching orbit meaning that the missile shield being defective?

Because that's what you said in your post, genius.

The first post was before you launch. If you could read the dates you would have noticed that.

Well ... Newt Gingrich states that we should preemptively attack North Korea with an electromagnetic pulse.

Yessire, EMP NK and the North Korean army will surely kamikaze Seoul.

Smart thinking Newt ...

Oh, so our missile defense capability suddenly changed after the Norks launched their rocket.

By the way, Johnny, you really ought to stop talking about stuff you know nothing about.
Smart thinking Newt ...
I speak of those who don't know WTF they're talking about, and look who shows up! :whistling:

For anyone <with> a clue, brain, or simply those who don't mainline Progressive Kool-aid, here's Newt's essay from a few days prior. Anyone who doesn't have their head firmly planted in their hindquarters will realize that Newt's comment referred to the increasingly valid threat of an EMP attack against either American seaboard.

The UN again proves how ineffectual it is by not being able to agree on anything. China and Russia decide that they don't want to take any action against NK.

While liberals around the world continue with their 1980's anti-missile defense stance, more countries have access to and are building rockets that can carry payloads to other countries. Is this something we should not worry about?

Thankfully the north Korean missile program is as much of a failure as the US missile shield so as both sides launched projectiles crash into the pacific a kind of safe stalemate is reached.
The North Koreans can obviously launch their missiles and get them where they want to.
:scratchchin:

Never let facts get in the way of your reality.

But back to the topic. This appears to be just another stepping stone in their technological development.

Gingrich: Attack North Korea with electromagnetic pulse

Only hours after North Korea launched a rocket, Newt Gingrich was on television saying the United States should have preemptively attacked the nuclear-armed country – with an electromagnetic pulse ...

Gingrich, who said on Fox that all United Nations dealings with both North Korea and Iran have been ineffective, talk is cheap. "One morning, just like 9/11, there's gonna be a disaster," the former Georgia congressman said. "And people are going to look around and say 'Gosh, why didn't anyone think of that?' Well I'm telling you, the time to think about it is before the disaster, and not after."

Pressed by Fox host Chris Wallace, Gingrich mentioned a few preemptive possibilities for stopping North Korean: "There are three or four techniques that could have been used, from unconventional forces to standoff capabilities... I'd recommend look[ing] at electromagnetic pulse...which changes every equation about how risky these weapons are."
Perhaps you should write Raw Story and tell them what an insufferable know-it-all you think you are ... :whistling:

You may want to review your grasp of English syntax, oh limo lib, considering that you're using an ellipsis yourself? Hint - the key word is "omission". Hell, your mouthpiece even edited the quote by adding the "[ing]" and you STILL can't figure it out? Newt's subsequent sentence makes no sense under your interpretation.

Go look at your own video transcript and see for yourself. I'm amazed that you even learned how to breathe.

EDIT - perhaps next you'll quote from a Role Playing Game to improve your sparkling credibility?

EDIT 2 - it's even funnier that Raw Story appears to be quoting from Politico.

Have you written your letter to Raw Story yet?

Go to the comments page of the article and show everybody what a big woody you have.

Failing that, fascist militaristic warmongering assholes like you aren't worth my time.

Rather than back-and-forth political asshattery, can someone point me to a link to Newt's statement in it's entirety so I can figure out which one of you two is spewing the most BS?

Thanks.

I would have thought it self-evident. The video is on Ill's own link (at least until RawStory realize what buffoons they've been).
http://rawstory.com/news/2008/Gingrich_Attack_North_Korea_with_electromagnetic_0405.html

I love Ill's attempt at use of invective and "the Big Lie" in an attempt to disguise how extraordinarily stupid he has been here (not a first, of course). He continues to provide more material (of asshattery, at least) than anyone on the OTF. :cloud9:

Of course, if he follows pattern he'll hit the report button about now in an attempt to get me banned.

Yep, you're completely right. Both times Newt mentions EMP, he is talking about the threat of being hit with such a weapon, not using one preemptively.

I think you have this one wrong, Mr. llad.

Re: North Korea missile test/satellite launch

Which is why, of course, I alluded to the fact that those with a brain (like Newt) have been concerned about the potential of EMP weapons. Not fact, you understand, just potential. But obviously Indymedia Ill has no need of such niceties.

Are you proud to be one more "fascist militaristic warmongering assholes" that aren't worth his time?

Welcome!

P.S. Don't talk about Jessie MacBeth, Scott Ritter, or Joe Wilson - it will only make him even more :xxx:

doubtless his brain was plundered previously.
