Hey guys,

First off I been lurking this forum for awhile, great great forum everyone here is so hopeful and the amount of information is incredible.

Ok so now that, thats out of the way..

I am lvl 50, summoner necro following the fishy guide.. I am trying to work on a MF set, of course untwinked since my first character is long deleted...

I been trying to get a goldwrap, whats the best place to farm for that? I been doing diablo on normal, because I used that ATMA and thats what it said had the best shot, however I have done countless runs and nothing.. Just want to make sure theres not some place better?

Also I realy want one of those neat Homunculus, about what level would I see one of those drop? And where should I be to farm one of those as well?

So far I am only sitting at around 160-175ish MF.

No you are right, Diablo does have the best chance to drop it. However Normal Mephisto isn't really all that far behind, and much easier to run. But since you don't have teleport that's a moot point.

As for the Homunculus, Hell Mephisto or Normal Baal is your best bet.

Actually bugged NM Andariel around the same chance to get one (better with high player settings) and you can kill her much faster (10 times?) than Diablo. + good chance to get SOJ. Much better choice imho.

It seems like you're untwinked by default only, but if that isn't the case, then ignore this post.

Are you playing Single Player or on Bnet?

If you're on bnet, then just play the game to get to hell difficulty. Collect gems along the way, and by the time you get to hell you will surely have enough to trade for a Goldwrap. Then you can run the level 85 areas (esp. The Pit) and then trade the things you find for things you want.

If you just need pgems, then run Lower Kurast, and open every basket and turn over every body. You'll get lots of gems and some charms and jewelry, and have a tiny chance at some decent runes.

And even on single player, we have a trade forum.

I am playing on Bnet, and playing untwinked (only thing I can do!)
I should just rush to hell, I keep running NM meph and hes dropping crapola for me

I wouldn't say rush...

But just running the game through is a good option. Take your time, run a few areas that have good chances for general drops (such as the kurast mentioned above, as well as what i put below). But often some of the best items i get are random drops , rather then farmed. I will usually slow down around nightmare black marsh to run the countess a bit until i get decent runes for a few items (insight, spirit, etc.), and you'd be surprised at the drops you can get out of there too...the key is to kill everything in the dungeon. Pick up all the rares, as well as blue armor and orbs/wands/scepters with skills on them. sell them for $$, and gamble it away. your specifically looking for rings and amulets when gambling. rare amulets and rings can be very nice, and bring you good prices on trade forums.

As stated above, keep all your pgems, and trade on the trade forums for the items you don't get. I've found better success trading with pgems then personal MF early on in my career. for the price of 10-20 pgems (which will always drop), you can oftentimes get a few nice items hat you might have to personally MF for weeks to get on your own. Baal runs are also a good option for this, especially NM and Hell. Lots of sell-able loot and pgems drop there, but remember to kill everything! with a nec. stacking MF is relatively easy, just load up a helm and armor with ptopaz, and watch out for all magic boots that drop, ID them all and keep an eye out for +MF on them. An alternative ( if you already have some pgems saved up), is to trade for some change guards (even crappy ones) and goldwrap. im currently using some crap blue boots with 10% run/walk, and 20% mf on my Hc sorc....but they work

I found some of my most valuable items in nm. Sure I've found even more valuable items in Hell, but don't underestimate the value of nm. If you need to build your wealth, you have to start somewhere, and the difficulty changes quite a bit from NM to Hell.

This past ladder reset I found the majority of my MF items for my sorc on NM Andy, Meph, and Baal. They drop some pretty decent items. I actually spent more time on Baal then the rest and he was very good to me. =)

So I guess my point is I agree with the above :thumbup:
