Noob Skelemancer PI question

Hi all

I'm a bit new to the game... I've been playing the Fishy as my first character. Recently, I ran into a monster in the Crystalline Passage that was Physical Immune, and remained so even after I amped him. How do I take down something like this with a skelemancer? Should I revive some magic casting monsters (and some skelemages)? Will that be enough? This guy was tough...

Well, your source of elemental damage are magi. Lower Resist the "hard PI", sit back and wait. It might take a while. It more or less requires that you have maxed your magi, so they can deal some damage.

Also, if other monsters are around that you can kill, and you notice the hard PI in time, lower resist him before using corpse explosion.

Hybrid builds would use poison or bone.

For myself... I do the same, except that I also cast firewalls (TO set bonus).

The Fishymancer has no way of dealing with hard PIs except CE and Revives (since it doesn't use mages). Of course there will usually only be one monster that is a hard PI (either a Random Boss with stoneskin or a Champion) and often you can just run past them and leave then behind like other character classes do to monsters they can't kill. That doesn't happen too much to us Necros so we often forget that simple tactic ;)

Thanks for the help. In this particular circumstance, I had no revives (all expired before they could kill him), and all my mages were killed. Never thought of running away.... guess I got spoiled with my Fishy there for awhile :)

Fall back use LR and CE.
