Non-High-Rune-Using hammerdin viable in PvP? So I'll confess right off that bat: My dueling experience (however nearly-nonexistant it is) is primarily with Low Level Dueling. In LLD, hammerdins do a pretty darned good job at tearing everyone new buttholes. I have a strong aversion to trading for/trading with/and using gear made from high runes. With that being said, is a hammerdin that doesn't use gear made from high runes (examples: hoto, enigma, etc) viable in PvP? Obviously the hammerdins primary form of transportation with Enigma is using teleport. In my case it would be charging. I'm hoping that desyncing will come into play a help quite a bit. Almost negating the issue with not being able to teleport? My initial "guess" on gear for the "no-thought-process" setup would look something like this: Rings: soj and/or bk Amulet: mara's or seraphs Helm: Shako Armor: Vipermagi Shield: Hoz or 45% base resist Spirit Gloves: Magefists or Trangs Boots: Waterwalks Belt: Arachnids Mesh Weapon: Wizardspike and/or Spirit Sword Switch: Insight Runeword to assist in mana regen/prayer/etc. (I also dont' like mana potting) special consideration given to fcr/fhr breakpoints. Obviously, insane rares would trump some of those options listed above. Idea's, comments, and CONSTRUCTIVE criticism are welcome.
