No WB, please don't do it

greed > respect

I think the fact that anyone is making a Kurt Colbain movie at all is a tradgedy.

It was the pressure of his fame that drove him to suicide.

You can quote Dave Grohl, his bandmate, on that.

...though he was suicidal through his life, I suppose you can say that was the final nail in the coffin.

It disgusts me that a network would create a movie on him because they realize that he's still popular ten years after his death.

Toss in your grave Cobain, WB is profiting from it.

making a movie simply on Coibain is immoral...if they were to do anything, it should be on the entire Seattle scene, and that has been done to death...

The only good aspect of the whole ordeal is that it is going to be based off of the book

"Heavier than heaven"

Which was one of the only, if not the only, unbiased book published on the life of Kurt Cobain. Every other book "on his life" had underlying themes, such as why it was a murder by Courtney Love, yada yada...

Strike 1: making a movie in the first place

I hope there is no Strike 2: It is abhorribly dissapointing

are you serious!? Myself and many others at popular Nirvana forums felt that book had almost as many lies in it as "Come As You Are." It is completely biased, it makes it seem as if Courtney had no help in Kurt's drug addiction, and that she was a better than average wife. The part that bothered me the most was the lack of any comments from Dave Grohl, I think there was only 3 pages in which Cross quoted Dave.

They need to make a movie about the life of Sid Vicious. Now that was one badass man.
I think they did. It was called "Sid and Nancy" if I remember correctly. I never saw it so I couldn't say anything as to how true it is.

Hmmm, my fiance always told me that's the better of them. I'm personally not a big Nirvana fan but she is and when I told her about the post she was disgusted (I was disgusted as well, from my base knowledge shown in my first post in this thread). Anywho, if that's the case what book would you have recommended they based it off of? I might recommend it to her if she hasn't read it yet.
