How did we get from a woman breast feeding Bengal Tigers to Ligers (which are very beautiful btw)? Don't you find it just a little bit creepy?

not really, no. when you live in australia and women can lift two full horses at once not much creeps you out

I'm Aussie too so I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that you live out west somewhere back of Alice.

How are Ligers bred? Do they just let a tiger and a lion mate?
Doubt it, they'd kill each other.

Artificial insemination I'd guess.

And a woman feeding tiger cubs that way is very wrong.

Theres a show called The lionman in New Zealand. Its about a guy who owns a place with lions and tigers, hes good with animals and one time he brought a lion into the office.

There was a toy tiger that was a souvenir for sale, the lion sees it and starts attacking it. The lionman says some times people ask who would win out of a lion and a tiger, the tiger looks pretty stuffed to me.

Just thought it was funny.

Ooh, that's GOTTA hurt!

When I read this article, I had the same reaction as my mother did when she breast fed me all those centuries ago: ouch! Tiger cubs have some serious teeth!

I thought I saw in the article that they dont have teeth at that age... that's why she can do it.

Yes, actually. It's just a mated lion and tiger (naturally done). They don't kill each other, for some odd reason. The weird thing is that for some reason when their genetics combine the animal turns out to be nearly twice the size of its parents. One liger is approaching 800 lbs. That's a big kitty.
