    NFL Predictions Thread

NFL season starts in just over a week and I got three questions to throw out there. Make your guess and at the end of the season we can all laugh at how stupid we were.

    1. Super Bowl Champion

    2. Team with the best record

    3. Team that comes from nowhere and has a great season

    My Predictions

    1. Panthers

    2. Bengals (13-3)

    3. Houston

    1. I think it's a toss up between Seattle and Cincinnati.

    2. Cincinnati.

    3. Packers. Ahman Green is going to have monster yard if he stays healthy and the O-line gels. Greg Jennings will be the next Sterling Sharpe in 2 years.

    1. Detroit Lions.
    2. Detroit Lions.
    3. Obviously, Detroit Lions.

Obviously, I'm not stupid predicting the Lions will be amazing

But seriously, I don't follow the NFL until the last couple weeks of the season... so I'm in no shape to predict anything.

    1. New York Giants (hooooooooooooomer)

    2. Indianapolis Colts (easy schedule and still a killer team)

    3. Arizona Cardinals (dynamic offense and fast defense)

I can't wait to laugh at my idiocy.

    1. Colts

    2. Seahawks

    3. Cardinals

I'm really excited about the Cards. I have tickets to see them play the Chiefs; it will be the first live professional football game I'll have seen since the Rams were in Los Angeles. We have a new stadium that's light years beyond the old one (Sun Devils), the usual fantastic receiving core, and The Edge. Not much of an O-line yet, but still, they'll turn a lot of heads and give Seattle a run for their money.

You're in Phoenix?? Cool! I am very encouraged for a great season this year by the Cards. I think their offensive line is going to do better than what a lot of people expect. They have some good young talent that just needs to gel and get some experience together and I think Leonard Davis is going to be the player they have expected him to be. The offense is just lights out. There is no team in the NFL with the receivers combination the Cards have. The addition of Pope, who is a monster, is going to add that tight end threat and extra blocking that they have lacked in the past. I have never been a Leinart advocate, but damn...that guy is so poised and polished for missing most of training camp and he is going to be a future Pro Bowl quarterbark, especially with the receivers they have and Warner is looking like the Warner of old now that he has a team around him.

The defense that was rated 8th last year has more depth and they are struggling with who they are going cut this year as they have so many solid players on D.

Oh..the Raiders?? Yeah...I wouldn't look at the pre-season too seriously. Most analysts have picked them at maybe 4-5 wins. I use to like the old Raiders, but I can't root for any team that has Randy Moss on it and they have no quarterback. Pretty sad if you have to sign an old quarterback who hasn't played for 5 years and he has a good chance to start games this season.

They added alot of defensive players, Starks/Poole/Huff.

Aaron Brooks is alot more mobile than Collins AND he can throw the deep ball.

Robert Gallery is making a return, so we will see what happens.

    Bears

Bears (we may only lose two games, though a couple of them will be tough wins)

Bears (also I agree the card seem to have improved, the raiders won't gel and will tank again.)

I have a bad feeling about Seattle, only because of the Superbowl loser curse. Cards can very well be a come from nowhere team. When your back-up quarterback has the balls to change the play on 4th and 7 vs Notre Dame, your team has a nice future.

...but the Raiders have been just as big of choke artists lately as the Vikings.
