    Newfound Respect for Women

I have just spent several hours wearing my new dance shoes. I have a new respect for women. One inch heels aren't easy to walk in at first, let alone dance in.

    The stronger sex

I have great respect for women because they have to put up with so much pain (childbirth, tight clothes and shoes for aesthetic reasons, men). They are also a lot of fun to have a conversation with (though the giggling does get to me sometimes...maybe it's the way I look?)

That could be. I'd laugh at the way you look, too. BAZING! :D

Wow, don't think I've seen anyone actually standing in those. Only times I've seen em they were pointed at the ceiling.

No can do :p Dance shoes need to be flexible, with suede soles.

Those heels are not hard to walk or dance in. The platform makes them perhaps 3-3.5" high...not that bad.

I think those shoes are more for the casual fun times at home. While recording. And then broadcast it through the internet

Oo you're a dancer? :) What type of dancing?

I mostly wear boots, except when the teacher won't allow it, which, unfortunately is far too often for my liking. The problem is the floor. For contemporary, she want us barefoot which not only is painful but also makes it impossible to spin. In jazz shoes or ballet slippers that darn floor is slippery enough to send me flying. ;)

Dance? You lucky people, spare a thought for those of us with the co-ordination and grace of a drunken elephant...

I'd say the first 1 is true, but the other 3 examples aren't true. Who said women have to whare tight clothes or uncomfortable shoes? You should change the 4th example you gave to people in general, but that is a problem not only for women.

Don't be sexxist, just don't respect anyone. Well, you should still respect me and the forum mods :king:

I would much rather wear dance shoes like that then toe shoes. My toes will be forever grateful to me for quitting ballet. Thankfully they went back to their natural shape.

Ok, Steel, I thought you were a chick, so did you develop a new respect for your own kind? Or are you a dancing guy?? Cross Dresser? WHAT THE HELL!?!
I am legitly confused. I am not poking fun at you.

Ballroom, for Standard and Latin. Just started competing; second competition is in a week. Wish me luck :)
