Newbe hammerdin needs help with items and skill points

HI,

I am a new hammerdin and i need help. What is the best items and skill point placements to make a succesful build. And i also was wondering if this is a good build:

Blessed Hammer:20
Concentration:20
Vigor:20
Blessed aim:10
Holy Shield:10
Charge:1
Redemption:1
Meditation:1
Salvation:1
Conversion:6

if anybody has any objections, tweaks, or changes let me know.

Learn to look around the forum and find the stickies at the top here that says Paladin Guides, it has a great Hammerdin Guide by Ragnarod.

Also look at the Max Damage Hammerdin Guide, it's item intensive but if you don't have it, you can aim for it.

Well I'd love to list items for you to look for, but the ideal gear may be too expensive. Would you want to know the ideal gear thats listed everywhere? Or just good gear to aim for before going into godly gear?

Also, I'd like to know why you picked conversion as a backup skill? Just wondering. It'll take away from your synergires on hammer (BA) or your defense (HS)... and you also have more points to spend, unless you plan to hit a level and stop...

Ideally, a fully synergized hammerdin setup would look something like this:

20 Blessed Hammer
20 Vigor
20 Blessed Aim
20 Concentration
10+ Holy Shield
1 Redemption
1 Meditation
Rest into Pre-reqs/holy shield

Salvation is always a cool skill to have if you play with parties and friends a lot, and charge is still a pre-req for holy shield, so it's kind of required. But I'd like to know why you picked conversion.

I'll give you an item layout after you tell me which kind of items you'd like to hear about...

I'm in agreement with Ungii. Definately stick one point into Salvation. Good for when you're cursed with Lower Resist or if your party needs it. Give some sort of example of your status with items/wealth and it'll be easy to get you a list of items.

Conversion??? thats pretty much useless

Straigh up 80 skills

20 Bhammer
20 Conc
20 Vigor
20 Blessed aim
1 Holy Shield
1 Wonders (Redemption, Meditation, Salvation, Resis Lightning)
If you gonna use something like um'ed hoz, um'ed viper etc you wouldnt need salvation.

EDIT: When u finish all the above, put rest of ur points into Holy SHield or charge if you prefer dueling

Just to be sure you are aware, make sure concentration is on your right click, and blessed hammer is on your left. Otherwise you won't get any effect from concentration, since it won't be active.
