New to Trading

Hi everyone. Long time lurker, first post.

I've signed up in order to do some trading (wasn't sure whether to post this on the trade forum or the newbies forum, so please move it if appropriate).

I've read the SPTF rules and have no issue with any of them, but what I can't find is any mention of how you actually mechanically trade items. I've seen people refer to emailing them - does this relate to the transfer of a character with those items muled on via ATMA, or can you email individual items?

I'm sure this is written all over the place and I'm just looking straight through it, so please feel free to link me with no further explanation.

Thanks!

Yes, or creating a stash file to transfer the items (more common)
stash files are .d2x, and can be created in ATMA/GoMule

Cool, thanks. Two more questions then, if I may.

How is this a trade? Presumably people could simply copy the .d2x files and keep their items while also 'trading' them?

Also, there seem to be rules on trading HC/SC items. I play a mixture of SC (for fun builds) and HC (for the challenge) and I pool my items on ATMA. How can I avoid accidentally giving someone a HC item without declaring it? Is there a way to tell if an item was generated in HC or SC?

PS I also live in Essex - small world!

Yes, people could

people could also dupe and dupe the best gear and create lots of runes, but the SPF plays legitly, once the items have been received the sender deletes his/her stash

There isn't a way
I would PM the SPF moderators about that (both of them), you would probably only be able to trade as SC, if at all, without a full restart
