New to this forum, have a problem

I got my second computer back from my friends house. I had recently purchased d2 & lod from a friend of a friend and I was going to put it on my second comp for transfers and easily getting stuff off mules etc...

After I properly installed the game and I clicked battle net, it said the cd keys used to install the game are not authorized for use on battlenet. OK, so I delete it off the comp and try to log on my original comp and account. It wont let me, and it gives me the temp ban message if you are using a modem check with your isp blah blah blah.

That was last night at 1-2 in the morning. 20 hours later, its still telling me the same thing. I can get on the internet fine (obviously) I can run single player d2/lod but.......thats it.....

Someone please fill me in on what I have done.

btw, I have already e-mailed technical support. waiting...

uh are you trying to use 2 comps using the same cd keys to transfer stuff ?
if thats the case you cant do that. only one comp can use one cd key on b.net at a time.

Sorry, I didn't make that clear. I have 2 comps and 2 copies of d2 and lod.

Did this "friend of a friend" get his cd keys banned prior to selling them to you? During that twenty hour period, did you continue to try logging in with your original copy of the game? Doing so makes the length of the restriction longer every time you attempt to connect. If I were you, I wouldn't try logging in again for a full day or so now.

It is certainly possible, I just jumped at the chance to buy the games for $5. I didn't really think about the possibility or him getting banned. My friend says he is the hacker type, so that is prolly what happened.:prop:

If someone knowingly sold me banned CD keys then I wouldn't consider that person a friend. That's just me.

You could try this but if your keys are banned, I'd smack the friend.
