New To Sp, Back to Diablo

Hello my fellow forum members. As my thread title says, I have recently decided to start playing SP after many years on a b.net and 1 year away from the game totally. The farthest I ever got in SP was a Skeleton Necromancer @ lvl 53 in act III NM, before I got bored and left him idle until I clean out my computer.

I decided to make the switch b/c b.net just ins't fun for me anymore, but I still wanna beat the entire game solo AT LEAST ONCE. Just wanted to drop in and say hi. At least this will be interesting w/o boat loads of mules, but I kinda miss my goldies.

Oh and one other question, did Blizzard release another set of rune words after the 1.10 ones? I read somewhere they did, and are they in SP?

welcome to the SPF and back to d2.
you'll find SP is a much better choice, well we all think so.
don't forget the FAQS and to get ATMA, the awesomest mule program ever.

There was another batch of runewords released but they are bnet only unless you use a mod in which case you have to let people know before trading/Mp'ing. If you want the mod i suggest asking google

have a good one.

druids > all

let me be the first to say

"do wop a be wop!"

uh, no wait, make that "Hi, welcome to the forums!"

check out the ATMA thread and other stickies for all your muling needs (and to answer loads of questions you might have about SP and the forum)

as for runewords, all runewords & ladder only items are enabled in SP except the recently released batch which is Bnet only.

Oh yeah, protect your shins

edit: damn, pwned... ok, make that 'second to say...'

Welcome GodofWar

You've made the right choice. As everyone else has stated... ATMA - God of SP. As you start your SP career, you'll want to collect your new goodies for your future characters or just grailing. ATMA ATMA ATMA.

You'll find a wealth of knowledge here and also check out the giveaways if you're looking for some freebies to get started. Good Luck and let us know how it goes (Daily Thread!)

... and get some really good protection for those shins...

Welcome to SPF! Never been on bnet. If you tried it and didn't like it, it must not be that good. Anyway, I'm sure you'll like it here. As others have pointed out get ATMA. That way you can mule and trade with other members. :)

Welcome to SPF. You're in for a switch if you compare Bnet to SP. On Bnet ladder, a Zod is sold for $7 American. Here in SPF, a Zod dropping is an international incident. Items are rare. Runes are really really rare. We like it that way.

Check out the Stickies to learn more about us. We've a neat little community here and have lots of room for others of a similar mindset to join us.

*charges in screaming directly at GoW and kicks him in the shins with his really quick titanium tipped boots of extra shin damage*

As you can see, we have more interesting personalities in SP too...

Welcome! Have a good time, and ask lots of questions if you have them!

Welcome! One thing you'll notice about this forum is that everyone seems to be fascinated and captivated by beautiful bald women. I'm sure you feel the same.

Oh yeah, and monkeys.

Welcome to SP. Don't worry if you don't get the bald women obsession, I still don't.

This elicited from me a laugh with sufficient volume to cause co-workers to question my sanity. Nice work.

Never mind the looneybin, GoW. It's just a side-effect of playing an outdated game for 20+ hrs a week (for some, per day, though Strijdje seems to be slacking lately)

Anyhow, enjoy your stay, mind dark waters (where the Giant Squid is lurking), kick FB in the shins for me once yours have recovered, and stay legit!

Just for the record.....

welcome! Enjoy this goodie basket of baked goodness and squid repelant.

Don't mind FB, just to give you an idea of how nuts he is... he gave a away a zod in a tourney where the only weapon you could use was wirt's leg. To let you know how crazy the rest of us were, we tried to win it. (and just so you don't jump on a durid... corax used a 'sin to beat the game and kill the hell cow king untwinked in said toruney.)

Speaking of tourneys, checkout the stickies, too.
