new to forum - couple of questions

Hi All,

Long time D1 and D2 fan, new to this forum. I have been on other forums so I know how to search, etc. but am looking for some help.

I have a D2 character in SP mode that I finished in Nightmare. I go to start a new game and it won't let me start in hell mode, any ideas?

Also, I was reading about the /players 8 but am not sure how or when you would do this command. Is this done through the run command? Can someone point me to a thread or post that discusses this?

There is a bug in the game which doesn't allow you to make a hell game immediately after finishing nightmare. Go back to the screen with the list of characters and select him/her again, then you can make hell games.

Press return in the game and a translucent chat box appears. Enter /players 8 and hit return again to activate it. It only works on single player.

Buy Identify scrolls from the vendors or use Deckard Cain in town.
