New Necro needs help! X_x

I dunno if this is an odd question or not, been a while since I played a necro. A long while, so bare with me. X_x

I recently started a new necro with a friend (Frost Sorc, Damn!) and I resolved I'm gonna go mainly Bone And Poison skills.

My questions are, which golem would best compliment a Bone necromancer? My first though is Immediatly the fire golem, but many people I speak to throw praise on Clay Golem. Depending on what golem Is chosen, would it be smart to Max [Type] Golem, and Mastery?

Is it worth throwing any points into skeletons. I keep hearing that the regular skeletons are decent at best even at the beginning, and arn't even good for cannon fodder later on. I'm thinking maybe put 3-5 points into Magi, for a little ranged support? Thoughts?

(This is the main question) is putting 1 point into every curse a good idea, since most of them only gain radius with more points, and I've been using The lower level ones (Amp. Damage, Dim Vision, Weaken) fairly frequently. I was thinking of it just to get to Lower Resist, to help my frosty friend there. ??

Anyways, thank you to those who've taken the time to read this, hopefully you can help =D, Appreciate it!

Edit: If it helps at all, I'll be focusing more on bone then poison spells.

I did read that guides. I'm not looking for a cookie cutter spec, I'm looking for a few answers to some questions I haven't seen.

Skeletons: Since you're going the PnB route, Skeletons and/or Mages will be of little use. With just a few points and no Skeleton Mastery, they will be extremely fragile and they won't do enough damage to make any significant difference. About all they'll be good for will be as decoys - weak, uncontrollable ones at that.

Summon Resist: If you have any summons at all, points in Summon Resist will be pretty much required once you get to Hell where there are huge amounts of elemental damage flying around.

Curses: As I understand it, the playstyle for a PnB is much different from that of a Summoner. And since I only play Summoners, my advice is somewhat biased. With that in mind, here is how I would rate the Curses I use:
Dim Vision - this is arguably the best defensive skill in the game
Decrepify - almost required for bosses and fast-moving/hard-hitting packs.
Attract - Another decent "take the heat off" curse. Most useful for casting on a minion that is close to a Boss that can't be DVd.
Weaken - ok until you get Decrepify
Terror - good for clearing doorways. In any other situation, DV is better IMO.

Golem: Clay Golem has several things going for it. It is relatively cheap to cast. It has huge life, relatively speaking. It "slows monsters". I've not used an Iron Golem enough to give advice on it. But the simple fact that it requires a very specific type of item (metal, non-jewelery, etc.), makes it less "dependable" than IG or FG. The area of golem/mastery point distribution is a big subject. But most recommendations I've heard are to push Golem Mastery first, because it will always apply to whatever golem you finally decide on.

I'm a BoneMancer... 1 point to all curses except confuse and attract (For Me). DiM Vision is a nasty one for me. and for your sorc fren, u'll need the lower resist curse.

IMO, golem only make your game boring... No dog fight, u got a tank ^^
