new (i think) mele sorc idea

i was just reading the executress guide and it got me thinking. what about a mele sorc with infinity and dream helm.

with a -10 wsm polarm and lvl 12 fanat (faith merc anyone) you only need 25 ias to hit max fpa (9).

skills max light mastery/enchant 1+fire mastery 1+warmth.
possibly go tk/es
possibly cb and lightning for synergy (but fcr would be hard to get without losing mele stats)

has anyone tried this or ever seen it done

ideas?

It could of course work, but I see it being to slow.

No block would hurt to, which would mean you would need ES/TK but then your mana will be taking alot of blows. I'd also just max the Enchant stuff, LM, and TK if you went ES. Like you said, lack of FCR would get ya.

Go ahead and try it if you want, but personally, I'd just pop the Infinity on the Merc, pick up a Dream shield (Make a lvl 30 HS, and block) and use Passion for Zeal. Its fast and more damage.

after reading that thread i like the idea
my thoughts now are ignore the fire skills and just put 1 point in enchant warmpth and mastery,
with the -def from infinity i should hit everything anaway and the -resf rom infinity should break nearly every immunity (any straglers my rogue can finish)

for the rest of the skills i will make like a lightning sorc just skipping the cl.
that way i will have good light damage from the dream killing and then fully synergised cl procking of lots as well. if i get any big possys i can switch hit then with static and fire off a few sets of charged bolts then swap back and get whacking

my kit ideas so far are:
infinity in thresher /sythe/war sythe
coh
dream helm
dr belt (not sure which yet)
ias gloves
highlords
raven//bk
spirit and wizz on switch for tele.
