    New Cube recipes

Has anyone played with these recipes?

3 gems (standard) + socketed weapon = magic weapon with 3 sockets

3 flawless gems + magic weapon = magic weapon with random sockets (up to max for the weapon type)

Do these work (I know they were in the beta)? Can you get good results from them?

    Yes they do work.
Yes you get good results if you know what you are doing.

You should look up suffixes, prefixes, their levels - > it is important what item level thing you put in.

I'm looking to try to get a Pestilent Crusader Bow of Anthrax. I have a poison question thread that explains why.

As long as the Qlvl of the item is high enough, you should be able to get what you want, eventually.

As for results, my best has been:

    Ferocious War Pike of Readiness
    Two-Hand Damage: 98 to 532
    Durability: 18 of 25
    Required Dexterity: 106
    Required Strength: 165
    Required Level: 66
Spear Class - Slow Attack Speed
    Item Version: 1.10 Expansion

    Item Level: 25
    Fingerprint: 0x12f9152c
    +199% Enhanced Damage
    10% Increased Attack Speed
    Socketed (2: 0 used)

Its great, but an Eth Upgraded Hone Sundan is much better.

As for getting the chips, I suggest making a Chippadin. Just get a few points in Res Fire and the rest in holy Fire, while wearing:

    Kinemil's Awl (+6 HF)
    magefist (+1 fires skills)
    Eye Of Etlich (+1 skills)
Tarnhelm (+1 skills, MF for TC 3's)
    Stealth runewords armor (tal/eth)
Sander's Riprap or other 40% fr/w boots. CK works good too.

The basic goal is to kill everything in act 1 on /players8 up to about the tamoe highland in one or two flashes of HF. My chippadin gets about 50ish damage (average) and does just fine.

Chipped gems are not used for these recipes, but standard and flawless gems.

Am I missing a recipe, here?

There is a 3 chipped gem recipe also. The only difference betwee the 3-chip and the 3-flawless is that the item level comes out as 25, not 30 as for the others.

Note you will not get 3 sockets. You will only get 1-2 sockets, with any of the three recipes (unless you happen to get Artisan's or Jeweller's mods).

Crusader Bow is qlvl 77 (you can look such things up on www.d2data.net).
That means it will have alvl 55 with these recipes (input ilvl doesn't matter).
This alvl is enough for Pestilent of Anthrax.
