New Class Idea, Death Knight

Hi, I am just reading how people developing idea here and come to my interest creating a class.

I just imagining things on how I would like to see a character like Necromancer that depend solely on their minion but powerful to fight with himself. With Necromancer being banished due to the fact that the team wants to bring up a whole new class into the game. So, it went on my head on a Knight in dark armor with large two-hand scythe commanding a minion of skeletons (archer, sword and magic).

Now for the basic concept, he is basically a warrior with powerful spell casting capability and minions playing style. Although his physical strength and skills are not as powerful as those of barbarians or other physical strength class but his other 2 skills cover this up making him a formidable class to choose.

Basic Rules:
Like Barbarian with rage. Death Knight also possesed unique "Pool" called Dark Energy but unlike Barbarian, Death Knight still have mana as the main pool for casting. Dark Energy initially start at 0, can be filled up to 10 points initially. They are placed as small vertical bar on the right screen with purple graphic when filled. Dark Energy max points can only be increased using skills, while Stats and Character's Levels will never increase Dark Energy Max points. Dark Energy will be filled up using skills, and some of the Death Knight's skill will use Dark Energy as main casting cost. Both Mana Pool and Dark Energy will collaborating nicely in the skill tree (with exception of Summoning because it mainly using pure mana pool as casting cost) but the minion will provide you with yummy Dark Energy filler (read the Skill Tree).

Now about the skills trees.
1. Summoning (all Summoing active skills cost you mana only)
"Raise Skeleton" ~ basic Raise Skeleton like the one in D2's Necromancer
"Raise Skeleton Mastery" ~ The first 5 levels improve the HP, Damage, Def, Magic Def, etc while at the same time increasing the max number of Skeleton. After learning level 6 to 10 aside raising Skeleton's statistic, you will raise 2 Skeleton Warrior rather than 1 on each corpse. Starting level 11 to 15. Aside raising stats you will also raise 2 Skeleton Warrior and 1 Skeleton Archer. From 15 to 20 you will raise 2 Skeleton Warrior and 2 Skeleton Archer
"Raise Skeleton Mage" ~ Raise 1 Skeleton Mage of the corpse, each level increase the HP, damage, def of Skeleton Mage at some point in the level also increase the max number of Skeleton Mages allowed.
"Death Commander" ~ Allowing to raise more Skeletons from Raise Skeleton skill while at some point in the level also increase the max number of Skeleton Mage.
"Restless Dead" ~ Passive Skill. When a Skeleton Minion died (whether it is Skeletons or Skeleton Mages) they have % of chance to be reanimated and back to full HP. % of chance depend on Skill point spent. Minions died because of Sacrifice Skill and Spirit Explosion will not trigger this skill.

2. Dark Valor
"Scythe Mastery" ~ Increase the Scythe Damage also increasing the hit rate using scythe on each level. Also each enemy killed while Death Knight using Scythe (skill or normal attack) will add 1 points to its dark Energy (death knight's second mana pool).
"Scythe Boomerang" ~ Throw the Scythe in wheel like motion that has possibility to knock the enemy backwards. (Scythe weapon only)
"Ethereal Slash" ~ Cost you Dark Energy only not manna. Teleporting to the targeted ground or enemy and do a slashing splash damage around the target area. Thereafter teleported back.
"Weapon Proficiency" ~ Increasing hit rate using Sword, Dagger and Staff, after learn this skill, you will gain 1 points to its dark Energy of each enemy you kill using Sword, Dagger or Staff.
"Dark Blade" ~ Enhance Melee weapon with magical power. Use Dark Energy initially. Activate it will drain your mana point(s) each second. Skill will wear off once you run out of mana, switch weapon or deactivate skill. Each hits during the duration will deal magical damage rather than Physical ones and gain bonus damage depend on your int point.

3. Dark Magic
"Sacrifice" ~ Sucking soul to increase Dark Energy Pool. Corpse will give you 1 (2 after some some point on sacrifice) Dark Energy, Corpse will be drained out and unable to be ressurected with Summoning Skills. Sacrifice allied Skeleton Minion (instantly killing it) will grant you 2 Dark Energy (4 after some point on sacrifice)
"Master of Dark" ~ Increasing max points of Dark Energy Pool
"Death Scream" ~ use Dark Energy. Giving Fear effect on the enemies around the area, while at the same time sucking up the will power of the enemies lowering their magic def Greatly at high level.
"Spirit Explosion" ~ Use Dark Energy. Has a very fast cooling down. Targeting Corpse will give you one "Head". Targeting Allied Skeleton Minion will Give you 2 "Head" but in return killing the unit. Targeting Enemy Target will launch a very powerful attack that also do splashing damage around targeting area. The damage calculated as: Total Damage = Initial Skill Damage + (Number of Head x Bonus Damage). Initial and bonus Damage depends on the skill level and other skill level. Splashing damage = Total Damage x 25%. I imagine this with a very cool animation. If you do the damage without the "Head", you will only get the Zigurat's (Wc3's undead tower) missle animation. But once you have "head", the "head" will form the spiral motion on the main missle animation and explode in the target area. The Head will be spinning around Death Knight.
"Bone Spear" ~ Use Dark Energy. Launching a strike Through spirit damage, each passing unit will increase the damage for the next target. This skill also increase the initial damage of Spirit Explosion.
"Ghost Cloak" ~ Granting Evasion on Physical melee attack when activated. Use Dark Energy initially and reducing your mana each second upon activation. When Ghost Cloak Activated, Spirit's Explosion's Bonus damage is increase.

Dude. You didn't invent the wheel. There's lots of Death Knights in this forum and other D3 related forums around the Internet.

@Xandor: No, I don't intend to invent the wheel especially in the name of the class. Character's name Class can be anything (original or not) I can easily change the name into Dead Commander or Commander of Abyss. But the playing style, skills idea is the bread and interesting point of the topic of Class idea. I mean yeah some other ones invent the wheel (or the first Death Knight Class idea), I am making a different kind of one here, how many time you see a "Knight" title with Scythe? that command an army of skeleton warriors and teleporting to the enemy slashing them away or throw a Scythe like a boomerang and knocking the enemy? I mean at the very least, read the whole idea please.

this has already been idea for along time, and to my opinion a bad one. DK is a WOW only thing and does not need to be brought over to the world of diablo. beside in my opinion we already have the wd, wich has dark magic already, we are missing an archer, and ver possible the "holy" class for the game.

how many time you see a "Knight" title with Scythe? that command an army of skeleton warriors and teleporting to the enemy slashing them away or throw a Scythe like a boomerang and knocking the enemy?
at least several times, that's how many.

Aint surprised about delays because its one of Squares trademarks. Always a bit later than expected e.g. X and XII. Maybe they should do what Polyphony Digital did with their years-long delays: release FFXIII Prologue?

The summoning is way to primitive, you shouldn't have cross referencing off skills using other skills. Also, you should develop more complete skills.
