Needing some help with es blizz

Hi all :smiley:

So i have thought about building blizzard sorceresses with es..

I would like to have your opinions on a few things


pre-buff or non prebuff? Well, i figured out that non-prebuff is doable, but i'll duel in publics atleast at the beginning. (pre-buff wont be so big problem then) Quite often i'll have a barbarian as a duel partner so counting my es% with it would be an option(memory,and when im not with barb, i could just play with own bo/lower es)

max-block or not?
Im really open for all kind of suggestions here.

And please, post some of your sorc gear setups, life/mana numbers and so
I have some in my mind but maybe you have better ones :wink3:

btw: i play euscl and building it with 2x-3x lifers, decent life/mana scs isnt problem

seems like you're wealthy, so you'd be able to pull off a blizz/es/block. the most pub-compatible sorc build in the game imo

I liked the most that build in the first post.

This is it:

20 blizz
20 ice bolt
20 ice blast
1 glacial
1 frost nova
1 orb
20 cold mastery
20 TK
1 Teleport
1 Warmth

2/20/2 circ '7fhr/15res x2'
vipermagi '7fhr/15res'
fathom 35/-5 die
visceretuant (i prefer this over whitstans cause the extra skill and still high blocking.. whitstans saves you about 20 dex BIG DEAL) 'Shael'
2x soj
frostburns
arachnid
eth treks (lower str req)
2/15 amulet
cta/lidless

4x fhr cold gc
5x life cold gc
10x life/mana sc

you would need all the ES prebuff gear (+9 ES staff, light circ, light amulet, ES ormus, 9x light gc) to have a decent ES

you get about 10k blizz, 245 pierce, 90% ES, max block, >3k mana, >1k life, and hit the 105fcr 86 fhr breakpoints"[/i]

If your going ES you want max block, this will save you against many-a whirlwinds, guided arrows, desych grief charge to the face.

any comments? what would you do different way and why?

Uhh...Whistans saves 74 dex at level 90 compared to visc.

87% block v 60

Whistans WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY better.

I made one of these recently. Max block for sure. Otherwise you die in one hit from a Whirl (openwounds, poison all get around ES) and pallys charge lock you.

Dont put any points in orb. You want orb, make an orber.

I use a prebuff staff...but I dont bother with es ormus and lit skillers and all that...god how annoying. You'd spend all your time at your stash switching gear and looking like a tool.

I also use a blizz ormus, mage, 2 soj, spider, fathom, nightwng, eth treks (save lotsa points). I shael'd the armor and the helm, since I didn't have the funds for fhr skillers, but she still works pretty well.

It can work without the mana/life charms too. Obviously better to have 10 of them...but very expensive and possibly heavily duped. Lifers, or life resists are good too.

You dont have to tank forever...its blizz. People die fast unless they double raven and stack you...and then just find a new game without jerks.

have fun and use ice blast liberally! Its funny to watch pallys charge into 5 iceblasts and die.

its now about like this (i havent items yet)

2sorc/20fcr diadem
2/15 amu
viper
df
whistans
arach
sojs
frostburns
treks until i find or craft 10fhr/xx mana etc boots

cold lifers+fhr (how many fhr sks depends on if im using 2*shaels and magic circle or rare with stats+1*shael)
viper will have shael in it too.
86 fhr is worth it, right?

about prebuff, without any pts in es i will have 90% es with full buff.

Trust me, Higher ES% w/o Buff. You'll Be able to Max Telekinis with maxed Orb dmg. And, You'll do Decent Blizz dmg w/ Skill Gcs.

I've made both. They both work. Just different. I personally have more fun with my blizz/es.

I think I ended up putting 5 hard points into ES, just to get it into the 83-4% range. Sounded better than just 77%




The other option is to stick with the base ES from staff+skill bonuses and then use the points saved (4) in prereqs for blizz synergies, etc.

Its an option. If I was going to remake...I might still put hard points into it though. I mean, you dumped 20 into telekinesis...why not have a stronger ES?

i will save few points before making final decision between those..
first im going to try full prebuff without any points in es.. but if I cant stand it i will probably put some hard points to get this 83-4%

btw, already gathered some gear, 8 skillers, 6 life/manas+ 1 mana/fhr, sojs and df
cta, whistans, anni and viper i had already.

I think im going to try my luck as a crafter, finding decent amus isnt easy, neither mana boots with 10fhr.
And if nothing suits for my needs i hope i craft something nice anyway :wink3:

looks like barbs were bad ones

Nearly gathered all gear i need, some miscs to go
Missing decent amu+boots though, i quess my self-mades will do until i find a right seller or I get a lucky craft

You can go with 63 fcr break at first. Mine uses that and she does just fine.



People are too obsessed with fast cast IMHO. They neglect fhr and resists just to tele faster....
