well well im dont with meele chars forever now so i declear that none of my futher chars will ever dy to IM.

well it will be easy as all will be ranged chars.

now first ranged barb will be a easy one throwbarb and the zon is no doubt about if it will work or not.

but the rest i have no clue

never built a sniper assy or a hunter druid, not to mention a ranged sorc and ranged necro.

so and ideas for my new style of play???

now i just need a wf for the zon:uhhuh:

Wolf,

you do know that berserkers never die to IM either?
For Paladin, maybe a holy shock/fire/freeze ranger?
The others are already mentioned.

Given your liking for wolves I'd have thought a Hunter druid was right up your street. Build is easy enough--just equip druid with a bow and pump all your skill points into summons (wolves, bear, spirit, maybe a vine). Let the summons tank while you shoot the you-know-what out of the monsters from the rear.

Personally I've maxed Heart of Wolverine, mainly for the AR bonus, and have added a Might merc for extra damage; usually I run with Dire Wolves, because that gives the enemy three targets other than my merc to beat on and he lives longer. Grizzly is reserved for Act Bosses and other tricky single targets.

However, this character is only at act 4 Nightmare so far, so I don't have any experience with this build in Hell...

try the trapablade assassin.

blade shield & burst of speed as passive skill
shadow master as tank
cloack of shadow and mind blast as 'ninja skill'
blade fury at sniper weapon.
death sentry and wake of inferno for group monsters

weapon block if you are alone without shield.
fade if you want to be 75 resist all.

A ranged Sorc? Tricky... :teeth: The VegaSorc is definitely fun!
You could try a ranger as a Pally. Elvish_Legion wrote a guide to those.

Will you pat/mat everyone? Or even go for a ranged HC Septavirate?

Maybe this information is outdated, but I know it is valid for 1.09. The Necromancer gets an Attack Rating bonus on every weapon using Poison Dagger, but no poison damage, so that can help you out there. I also think that if a bow or crossbow fires explosive arrows or bolts, there is a 100% chance to hit the enemy. I know there was some debate as to whether these were bugs or features, but I'm sure that with all of the outspoken opinions here lately, someone will jump in and subdue me if I'm wrong in suggesting this. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide what you think about these "tricks," for lack of a better word. Good luck!

Enchantress with kuko is traditional build, so it's tested that it'll work.
Maybe you'd like this sorc instead:
Gear: Razortail, Gimmershred, whatever else you need/like
Skills: 20 Fire Mastery, 20 Cold mastery, 20 lightning mastery, 20 enchant, rest in Warmt + prereq's and 1 point wanders.
The masteryes(sp?) are pumping all the elem dam on yuor items, so with gimmershreds it'll do enormous damage, something like ranged avenger without conv. :)

Ranger pallyes are fun, try one! Or maybe Dragoon...(throwing weap pally)

I'd go with one of the various ranger types, or as vorbiss said, a dragoon. I tend to like to mix melee with ranged, as it gives a better option for running away... heh heh.

Say Vorbis- are there any guides about dragoons out there for 1.1? would you basically make a ranger build, except use javalins/axes etc?

Gengis Chuck's Freezing throwerdin guide is infact Frost Dragoon guide, check it out. And yes, it's basically the same like ranger, with the exception that you can use shield, and that changes the equip quite a bit.

Ninja Assassins rule. :p I like nemar's trapablade, but I'd go with LS/DS, one point in blade fury w/big damage 1-handed weapon, and Venom/BoS w/huge damage crossbow on switch. I just don't feel right letting a bowazon use a crossbow, and this'll allow it well. :)

I'm not sure how effects pass onto blade fury, but if ctc passes on, Crescent Moon would be cool for the static.

I would go with a hunter Druid. I plan to make one soon. My last one went with maxed Heart of Oak and was going to max Grizzly. This way you'd not have to worry as much with resists. He was fun to play and those summons especially the bear could take loads of damage.
