    Need new console games

Ok, since my recent lay-off, I have taken to playing some console games. I like the horror genre. Here is what I have thus far:

Clock tower 3 (of course..Kinji Fukasaku's last directoral project before he died)
    Silent Hill 1,2 &3
    Eternal Darkness
Fatal Frame 2 (thats what I am playing now)

I have a gamecube and a PS2. I am thinking about the Resident Evil series, but have yet to buy one.

Ok grasshoppers...help an old lady out!!!

Resident Evil Remake for GC is a good one, and inexpensive

you can also get RE: Code Veronica for ps2

both games would be less than $20

don't bother with Resident Evil Zero

Silent hill.Play them again and again and again.
Resident evil isn't as scary as Silent hill but its still good.

Any Resident Evil game will do (with the exception of Survivor). Considering your situation, the best thing to do would be go to some game store that sells used games and get Resident Evil 1 or 2 for Playstaton. Those are the better Resident Evil games anyway.

yea, don't waste money on ports of RE2 or RE3 for gamecube, get the ps1 originals

but if you're used to new stuff I would pick the RE remake over the original, I like them both about equally

I am now 3/4 the way through Fatal Frame 2..and it is very, very good. To be quite honest, the graphics are great! There is not much difference between the graphics in the cut scenes and the actual gameplay.

I am really getting into these surivialist/horror games.

Yeah..a tad bit hokey, but you have to upgrade your camera to do a decent amount of damage.

Resident Evil is a great game series. It's not really the same type of suspense as Silent Hill but great nonetheless. I would start off with the remake for the Cube, it's a great game, and I like it as much as the original version for the PlayStation. I also have Resident Evil : Code Veronica for the PS2, also a great game.
