Need info on rolling charm, couldnt find any searching

Maybe Im just putting in the wrong search words or something.

I want to start re-rolling some charms out of the ones ive found in the pits, and I have a few questions.

1) Do I just keep rolling the same ones till something good shows up, or does the Item lvl drop each time causing it to only get worse and worse.

2) I have 3 lvl 86 chars, but nothing higher (thats usually where I stop lvling) Is that high enough to be rolling them, or should I work on getting one up to 90ish.

3) What are the good stats to be looking for?

Thanks

I'll try to give this my best shot. Since I'm somewhat new to 1.10, you may want to wait for a more experienced charm roller. lol

1) I believe you keep rolling the same one. I'm pretty sure the item level does not drop. It may take a few rolls (got one in 3 rolls once) or many (I heard some people needed 200+ gems). Just keep at it.

2) I'm pretty sure char level doesn't matter. I've rolled all my skill charms on my level 1 gem mule.

3) Better wait for additional advice on this one. lol

All I could tell you, I'm sure you already know (like resists, skills, life/mana, poison dmg, mf, etc.).

I tried rolling a charm and got a 18lifer the first roll, then it just got worse from there. on the third roll it was like 1-4 fire damage.

Each time though, the level req was lowered. I didnt know if it was just cuase of the mod, or the item lvl was dropping.

I believe that's just the mod.

Yesterday, my bro and I decided to spend all of our pgems rolling up a GC I found. It started off as a GC of Vita, eventually hitting the no lvl req ones like "of Balance" before turning itself into a Warcry GC.

Best of luck with your rolling. It's so much fun (and so addicting ;) )

Rolling is based on the charm lvl, don't think clvl affects it. I would stop at any skiller or other nice mod but it depends on # of pgems you have. No, the item lvl doesn't get lower.

1) The 3 pgems + magical item rerolling recipe doesn't change the ilvl of the item; you can keep rerolling the same thing over and over again without degrading it

2) Character level has no effect on the rerolling recipe; you can use a lvl 1 if you want to

1&2 have been sufficiently answered.

3 is really up to you. The ones to trade are skiller gc's, hopefully with good second mods, esp life. Other good second mods on skillers are FHR or FRW. Also any GC with near perfect res all (ive got one in SP with 15 res all+ (i think) 6 dex)

I often keep ones not in high demand, such as high single resist gc's, especially with a second mod (like a 28% lit resist with 6 strength). I also keep some of the "sharp" or better GC's. I have a gc with +10 max and ~80 AR (note better than 3 3/20's)
SC's i dont really roll, but for those you are looking for good life (max 20), good mana (max 17), "fine" (max 3/20), some want high poison (more than 100), MF (max 7%), res all (max 5%), single res (max 11%). If you get 2 of these mods, prices go way up.

Two GCs people roll:

NIGHTMARE cow GCs, because they have the best chance of getting skill mod

HELL Baal GCs, because they can get 41+ life....

not true, skill prefixes are alvl 50 and the next highest is alvl 55 (according to AS), meaning anything with monster levels between 50 and 54 will drop gcs "most likely to have the skiller mod. NM Cows are mlvl 64 and therefore dont fit in this window.

its all about luck

once i rolled a nice skiller on my second try

another time... i basically used up a full pgem mule on one GC and didnt get anything good.

(both GCs were from act3 nm so they had a good chance to be rolled into a skiller)
