Need help with PvP smiter

I have 2 questions:

1.
I'm currently gearing my smiter for the PvP tournament but i have some issue about the charms i will be using. I currently wear 2 lionbrand GC and the rest is res/life charm. Should i remove some res/life charm to add 2 more lionbrand. Which setup would you chose ?

Currently charm setup give :

FR: 44
CR: 77
LR: 90
PR: 36
FHR: 28
FR/W: 7
Life: 166
+2 combat skill ( smite dmg = ~1900-2050 )

If i add the skillers, it give

FR: 35
CR: 68
LR: 66 <- huge drop
PR: 27
FHR: 28
FR/W: 7
Life: 148
+4 combat skill (smite dmg = ~2050-2200 )

2. Which armor is the better for melee : Upped shaftstop VS Leviathan ?

PS: THE RESIST LISTED ARE ONLY FROM THE CHARMS

upped shaft is better unless you need the 45 strength for something

and i would definately go with higher damage and lower resists ;)

Simple solution, make a whirler. :D

I don't see why you can't keep them in stash, and use appropriate resist charms according to opponent though.

Thanks for the inputs. Though you're kinda biased since you want my LR to go down ;) j00 n00b t3mpl4r

Half of my res come from shimmering and switching other sc between duel is a pain the arse :(. I want a permanent charm setup, i will only swap res gear (i.e silence PB, death,s glove, UM'ed shako , etc )

PS: Building a whirler is in my project but I leave them to cookie-cutter PvP'er right now. They need to have a skill advantage over me if they want a slight chance to win :D

IMO a smiter really doesn't rely on high damage. He relies on his survivability first and then some solid damage. Taken that into consideration I think you should go for the resist charms and the shaft and even consider dropping those other two grand charms to even out your other resists.. they seem a bit low. Especially a fire based character will rip you apart.
Also, try to get some more frw (I'm don't know how much you have from equip though) since charging in on melee opponents will increase THEIR critical hit percentage. It's only that half a second though, but still if you get a double hit by that 3k damage guy you can get hit hard, dead or worse... locked..

The resist I listed were only from charms. I'm at 350+ res with full equip. The fire sorc aren't a problem, NSX's 20k fireball did about 100dmg. Thanks for the input about shaft and FR/W though.

I always thought smiters had no problems reaching max resists in NM:
pdiamond HoZ - 69
Anya quests - 30
Mara's - 20-30

If you have an IAS jewel in your HoZ, remove that and stick a pdiamond in there, and put an IAS jewel in your armor. That's much cheaper than IAS in your shield and Um in your armor, and gives 4% more resists too. With salvation, you shouldn't have to worry about elemental attackers too much, and your main nemesis seems to be whirlers/bone necros, which resists won't help you against.

*Sight*. I will describe my res gear because i got misunderstood that the res i listed are only from charm. I'm currently maxed in hell, only worried about stacking when i waer the skillers.

PDiamond HoZ :69
Silence PB: :75
15% jewel GA: : 15
UM'ed Shako: 15
21%: Mara's 21
Rare ring: with 10 res all, 34 to lightning

69+79+15+15+21+10+anya

Resist without charm in stacking gear
LR: 263 + salv = 363
CR: 239 + salv = 339
FR: 239 + salv = 339
PR: 239 + salv = 339

The problem is not that I lack res but i want a setup that I can keep Redeemer + fanat for lightning user while being affected by maxed conviction (-150%), With my current setup i can do it but if i remove some charm i will be in the 70's.

PS: I dont need more fhr, I already passed the 86fhr BP in melee gear.
