Need help with IAS from the Gurus around here :)

Ok, I am using the Unique sword "Bloodletter", it has a base weapon speed of 0.

It also has 20% increased attack speed.

Sigons Gloves gives additional 30% increased attack speed.

This is on a Paladin with 5 attack Zeal and Concentration (no fanatisism)

So my question is this...which breakpoints am I near?, will it help if I Shael the Bloodletter? and how much can I increase my speed (and how do I calculate it)

    Good weapon calculator here.

Currently, you are attacking at 6fpa (frames per attack). If you get at least 13 more ias, you will attack at 5fpa.

If you happen to get 200% total ias, you will attack at 4fpa, but in my opinion, that's a waste.

    Hope that helped.

When I tried calculating it, it gave me 6 FPA...but even when I added 20% more from Shael, it still gave me 6 FPA.

You probably did something wrong. I just double-checked on that and it gave me 5fpa with a shael rune. Make sure you choose paladin, gladius, 70%ias, and Zeal.

Yeah, I forgot the Sigons :) Thanks

Is it worth socketing with the Shael.

It really depends on how rich you are, and if you're going to be using that bloodletter for a while. For me, when I do use a bloodletter, it's only temporarily, for a few levels, until that character gets to a higher level, so the socket quest alone would be a waste for me.

If you are going to be using that sword for a little while, and can afford a shael ruen and a socket quest, then I say go for it. But otherwise, it won't make too much of a difference, in my opinion.

Since I have some 300 socket quests avaliable, thats really not a problem :D

And I am going to use the bloodletter (or a hexfire, can't deside) for a long time to come.

So, a Shael would be a good idea then?
