For uber trist, you may want to switch out some of that gear.

-Switch out the arachs for something like a credendum or IK belt (or nosferatu if you need the ias)
-Take out all that lifetap. You really only need 1 source for it.
-Put on a ravenfrost for cbf, and the other ring can be something with resists/absorb
-Switch out the war travellers with gores or something with resists
-Switch out your helm with either a guillaumes or something with resists.
-If you have them, throw whatever resist charms you can on him.

Or instead of listening to me.... http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=425449

Zooply is correct. Though your gear is pretty high-end, you still lack CB. And you do want that. Um'd Guillaumes and Gore's are a must. Or you could switch your armor to a Duress, but that's up to you.

Get a crafted gloves: IAS + crushing blow + Life leech+life+resist. With this gloves, gord, and last wish, your % crushing blow will be up in 90 range. As for helm, I think Dream helm is best for Uber trist. However, If you can't find the gloves, then use guillaumes helm.

Dream? Why dream? I think it's pretty useless for UT. For resists, Kira's beats it, and for CB, Guillaume's beats it. Besides, Dream is an auradin helm, not a smiter one.

Switching out LW for Grief will make him lose lots of CB, but that can be gotten elsewhere, namely with the help of Gores and Guillaume's. A Life Tap source is of course needed, and if he leaves Exile in, Dracs can be swapped out for something like you said.

Why dream? try it on your smiter, then repost if you still think it is still useless. I have it on mine, and love it. Not because of the aura, it is because of the chance to cast confuse. CB: 70 LW + 10 Glove + 15 Gore = 95 -> I would say it is good enough.

So you don't use life tap against the ubers?

Confuse does not work on bosses, so essentially, it takes attention of all the minions, while preserving Life Tap on Ubers.

Solo? First one? Pretty smooth. Had some trouble reaching the miniubers (darn IM), but the UT itself was a cakewalk. Lure Meph -> Life Tap wand him -> Smite -> Zeal his minions -> Rinse & Repeat. Azurewrath is awesome vs. Baal's PI minions.

    Setup:

    Grief PB
    Fortitude AP
    Guillaume's "Um"
    HoZ "Pdiamond"
    Thundergod's
    Goreriders
    Metalgrid [email protected]
    Ravenfrost
    [email protected] magic ring
    Dracul's Grasp

    Switch:

    Stormshield "Hel"
    Life Tap charges wand

    Inventory:

Boatload of resistance charms (mainly cold and light)

    Skills:

    20 Sacrifice/Zeal/Fanaticism/Holy Shield
1 Smite and other useful skills (Salvation for example)
Rest in Defiance for HS synergy

Oh...you just took some of the wind outta my sails.:)
Never having done an Uber before, I just soloed my first one. I died once but finished off everything in trist.
Guess you could say I am pretty jazzed about it. Got a decent but not perfect sorc torch for my trouble.
I used the same smite/zeal with a LW & Exile switch to Grief & Hoz for zealing. COH, Guilms, dracs, gores, pretty much the same gear 'cept I had a boat load of plus combat since I was wearing the COH.
Really didn't want to use the Hoz for the zeal swap but didn't have any other decent pally shield to use. Need to get one if I get serious about Ubering.

Re: Need help Uber x3 and Trist

    HoZ is decent enough, mate.
Anyway if you are still interested, this was my gear when i first did ubers alone.

    Guillames Face UM
    Higlords amu
Heavens light, 3 skill, 2 x shael scepter
    Guardian Angel UM
    Hoz UM
2 Ravens (rly needed only 1)
    Verdungo
    Gores
    Dracs
Some 15 @ GCs in inventory, a lot of res scs,

(later i made treachery for prebuff, but first solod without it)

i still ownd them in 4 minutes which is ok.
Heavens light i liked because of speed.
Guardian Angel just looks freaking sweet ona paly.

My first torch was Pala 19-15

Sold it, made Forti AP 30 @, Grief pb 31-391
And owned them even easier. Although, to be able to wear grief i lacked 1-2 dex, and i looked for some dex small charms for ages :D

didnt also have any BO prebuff.

    Yeah-

Don't get me wrong, the Hoz is great for my haermerdin but not my first choice for the smiter/zeal thing. BUT it's fitted with an um so the boost to the resists are nice.

I agree the Guardian looks super cool mainly b/c it doesn't make your pally look like all the rest. I wish they would come up with some different looks that do the same thing (or better) as the standard COH, Fortitude, etc.

For that matter, I wish in the beginning that they made it so when you choose your character type you had the option of deciding gender and features instead of being stuck with the same cookie-cutter character looks.
Maybe D3 will offer that...? Just a thought:grin:
