Level 18 charge paladin:

Skills: Max might, put the rest of the points into charge

Items: 4 socket gothic plate with 4x 15 max jewels
3 socket crown with 3x 15 max jewels
4 socket crown shield with 65% ed built in + 4x 15 max jewels
Cleglaws sword+15 max jewel
Cleglaws gloves (for max damage bonus)
deaths belt
Cowkings boots (or treads of cthon if you cant afford)
angelics amulet and 2 angelics rings
Ideal charms are +10-15 life small charms, Max damage charms or +5 str/dex large charms. Also, use 1 small charm with cold damage to freeze target.

This build will get you upwards of 650 pvp damage per hit with deadly strike.

Oh yeah, I made one of these paladins (level 20) and did pretty well. The stats should be:

Enough strength to wear armor (70 after items)
enough dex for 75% chance to block
All the rest into Vit
None in energy.

... i.e. anyone who knows anything could give you an effective chargeadin build and it would work (no offense to Sip of course, he's just making it simple for you). Elite lvl 18 duelers will give you a lesser-used build that takes skill and practice to make effective. Perhaps you should rethink the title of the thread....

And there's no need to bypass the language filter by purposely misspelling words.

EDIT: What about a ThrowNecro... Amp + BoneArmor + ClayGolem

I agree. If you do go with a charger like SiP suggested, i say use BF instead of clegs, BF adds 5 min dmg, which is a lot more than it sounds like, and 40 life is pretty damn helpful as well.

As for what i suggest, i say make a Leaper barb or a fireball sorc.

are you aware of the set bonus from clegs sword+gloves?

cleg's sword and glove =
about 21 max damage
170 attack rating

vs

bf=
40 life
30% fhr
5 min? forgot
10 ias bleh

40= about 13 str how much does 13 str add to charge damage?

imo its a personal taste
if you use cleg's glove which got slow to duel most people not going to duel you anyway

here's a question you need to answer for us. What build is your friend? If he's a charger i would suggest being super nice to matt and asking for the build he based teh uber talarra on. The jabbazon works wonders against chargers, just because you can get a nice frame rate, several jabs per click, with the addition of possibly using something elemental to stack.
Chargers are indeed cheese, good but i agree even though my reapers_fallacy is my love and joy of pk'n23 ears lvl 17 using sub par gear.
Just tell us what your friend's build is and we can help you out.

Jaffy, haven't seen you in a while.

Anyway, he's using him to mess with his friend, so I say cheap-o paly charger.

Actually, i would think quite the opposite lucky :) If he is just fooling around with a friend (and as a result, will get all his gear back etc if he should die) I would think its a great time to try a less than cookie cutter build.

MY interpretation of fuk up would be to really kick his arse, so I thought something cheap like that would work. However, if his friend has any real skill then a charger wouldn't cut it.. they are pansies at heart.. versus real duelers.

Pretty nice, but you'll have to replenish after every other fight, which will get tedious fast (unless you got 2 PC's). It's a nice weapon, but jabbers loose 1 durability each jab (3 attacks= -1 durability), so you should check your spears after each fight. On a throwbarb it looks nice as well I'd guess, but you'd need a second one with comparable damage...

Speaking of throwbarbs. A lvl 18 throwbarb isn't hard to make, doesn't require that much skill, and isn't your average "easy to do, hard to master" charger. Shop around for 3 high damage spears, get yourself a 3-soc armour and helm, put in max damage jewels. Deaths sache and gloves, fast boots, angelic rings and ammy. On switch one of the spears and a bone shield of deflecting with 2 max damage jewels (ask around in the act 2 shops). For skills, get 1 point in throwing mastery, 1 point in double throw and the rest of your points in double swing. Any left-over points could go in throwing mastery for damage and (less) AR, or double throw for (more) AR. Strategy: get a lock on him and double throw away. If he tries a high damage attack *cough* charge ;) weapon switch to shield and pray :D

I've never tried throw barbs before, so why do you need to have double swing?

Cmon everyone is busting on chargers these days, reminds me of when everyone hated the Burrito GA zons. But hey chargers aren't exploiting any bugs here :). Really vs real duelers lucky? Reason you guys beat the chargers you do is because they are not real duelers... They don't have the optimum equipment that you are useing for your build. They just threw the guy together half assedly and started haveing fun. If someone were to get serious and make a decked out 1h charger with max block and all small life charms he would be something to be reckoned with... The problem is your average serious dueler does not make a charger because everyone else and their brother has one :). By the way I guess your build requires more clicking skills than the chargers eh lucky? (just messing with ya man :) )
