Need Help - Diablo 2

Hi.
I've been playing Diablo 2 for several weeks now and can't get past one part of the game. I have a single player game going and am a level 23 Paladin - but I can't kill Duriel - he's killed me about 20 times and I'm getting frustrated.
Anyone have any strategy or ideas on how to get past this part of the game?

single play? heh u can find some better wep to kill dury, before that, lvl a bit.
so u can use a higher lvl zeal to kill duriel. lvl u merc too, so u have a buddy to help u fight. buy some of those cold resist potions from the merchant, u boost u cold resist big time, then u will probably kill him.
i do this only because someone has done the same thing to me.

Yo bro. Don't worry about single player that aint nothin. You should get online and play that its way more competitive and fun. But if you really want help all you have to do is level up and level up your helper. Its always good to play online because you will have other people helping you out and they could give u free items and beat things for you. The basic thing that I am trying to say is...try playing online its way better!!!

If you have at least 1 point in Thorns (level up and put 1 if you don't) then you can use "suicider tactics". Cast tp right in his lair and let him kill you over and over...until he kills himself. Btw, don't DO NOT attempt to use this tactic with harcore char

in SP the only way to kill him wiht a underpwoered char is jus to go down and hit him a few times, then die, then run down and hit him a few times ... rinse and repeat, its very frustrating, but as far as ive seen, for most chars its the only way in norm SP

Not even close. You mustn't have seen much SP then.

get the respose you need.

Oh, and as far as the comment...

Try Hardcore on Players 8 and see how you go.
