Need Clarification on Dragoons Calculator and Feral Rage

Need Clarification on Dragoons Calculator and Feral Rage

im making a wolf barb and i use dragoons calculator with a level 8 wolf and war spike BOTD.

When i calculate this i get 5 frames attack rate. However the barb forum is telling me that Feral Rage is in fact just as fast as a normal attack In which case its only 7 frame attack.

    please advise...
is Feral Rage faster than a normal attack in 1.10? (i know in 1.09 feral rage and normal attack were the same)

its a much heated debate and i need to know if i wasted my BOTD runes or not :(

    thnx
    stef

feral rage is faster then normal attack in 1.10
but only if you are hitting something
without a monster in place its a normal attack speed

I already told them they were wrong, they don't seem to listen. I'm not sure if it's changed, but Feral Rage works like this:

If you attack, and they block, it's 5 FPA.

If you attack, and you hit, it's 5 FPA.

If you attack, and miss, it's 7 FPA.

I haven't checked this yet myself, and TheDragoon never posted anything about it here, so I'm a little "iffy" on giving out the information. I find it surprising he doesn't mention it on his website or anything... anyways, I'll give feral a visual test later tonight to see if it works like this for sure.

In 1.09 it was the same speed as attack, that isn't true in 1.10. :)

Actually, that's wrong, after testing it is the same speed as attack, TheDragoon just messed up somewhere. ><

It says above the calculator that he wasn't for sure on how it worked. :(

when you did your test... did your wolf hit a target? or was he just hitting air? if the wlf wasnt hitting a target then the test wasnt done correctly... the wolf needs to actually hit in order to get the faster frame rate (if it exists)

    please advise

First off, whoever you heard that from heard it from me first. I posted a quote from TheDragoon. :p Secondly, yes, I was a level 87 werewolf attacking a level 27 necro. There should've been a 4 frame difference at the very slow speed I was going at. :)
