Need advice on this...

i have played d2 long time ago. seeing d3 is coming, i felt nostalgic and played d2 again.
my old build was orb/ene shld type. i know that no matter how much absorb eneshld has if vit is base or low, you will still die no matter how big your mana pool is. sorceress has always been my main. i registered to present an idea, since you are the experts hope you could state the good and bad things about my idea.
how about this?

1 pt wonder to all eneshld skill req = 5pt prerequisites + 1 for eneshld = 6pts
eneshld would be lvl14 with battle command that's 65% absorb
mana increases 71% with battle orders.

i'm thinking warmth regenerates blue faster than replenish life does with red.
that's 65% that could be regenerated fast.
on no red pots rule, that's 65% that could have been to hp where there's no chance for it to regenerate.

I've always found single-point ES to be completely insufficient... basically it guarantees that every hit will empty your manabulb and you have to drink a potion or stand there and get hit some more (and loose all of the life you saved with ES after your mana runs out and you can't teleport away). That's not safer, and it doesn't save you any potions or time. With single-point ES, Warmth won't cut it on its own, unless you have an insanely huge mana supply (3000+ mana, probably much more) or don't use your mana for anything other than a damage-absorber (read: melee-sorc).

I'd rather just spend the points in Vitality, try my hardest not to get hit (<-- first priority; sorcs are NOT tanks), and spend those extra skillpoints into other more useful spells.

I have 1 point in ES and around 63% absorb with gear atm.. will go up to 70% when I get all the gear I aim for. I have around 1200 hp and 1100 mana.. so with that mana even when I get hit I don't really get to 0 mana and it will regen fast. If I get 2 sojs in the future I will have loads of mana and my health will take very little damage. My build is CB/Orb so I probably have more points to spend on ES section.. and right now at 88lvl I decided to put rest of the points to telekines to boost my survival since I am at HC anyways.

And actually when you get 95% absorb and some magic&physical damage reduction (~30) you won't lose any hp when you get hit. But that requires a huge mana pool.
