Need Advice on a Titan 2-Handed Bezerker

    My basic idea is this.

    20 bezerk
    20 shout
    20 howl
    20 mastery
    20 bo

So his skill placement would be a standard bezerker. However, the difference will be in his equipment and stats. I plan to give him a huge damage 2 handed weapon and sink all his points into strength.

From a usefulness angle, I know that he won't be very viable, but I want to make him anyway. I'm going for highest listed damage + highest listed strength. His attack speed will be very slow and he'll have very little health/defense, but everything should die in 1 or 2 hits.

    What would his equipment be?

A rough list of equipment that I thought of would be:

    ebotd tmaul (main damage)
Fortitude armor (biggest boost to damage)
Angelic ammy+rings (big boost to ar and a useful life boost for a titan)
Sandar's gloves (for the life boost and ias)
Nosferatu's coil (mainly for the ias and the str)
    Goreriders (cb, deadly strike)
Guillaume's Face (cb, str, and deadly strike)

As for stats, I'm thinking just pure strength. I stayed away from the faster ebotd polearms because of the dex requirement and lower damage, not to mention the str bonus for maces. I'm not looking to attack several times very fast, I'm looking to inflict one very serious blow.

I expect his strength with equipment and stat points to hit 545 and it should top out 600 with torch+anni and a few charms. I expect his health with equipment and torch+anni+a few charms to be, after bo, about 1700.

I've calculated the max damage per hit to be roughly about 27k with a 30% chance of 54k... magic damage.

    Thoughts? Suggestions?

You probably want to have CBF from somewhere. One raven or maybe a Cham in your G-face.

I do need the socket in the g-face for an ias jewel, so I'll have to stick with one raven. If I could forgo the ar from angelics, then a highlord's wrath + a bk ring would go great with the build, but I don't want to rely on ar gcs to give me a good chance to hit. With this build, I must connect on the first swing or I'm :hang:

Instead of one BK you could use 2 ravens (along with highlords) for some more AR. Since the life on BK won't get increased with BO, you only get a small life increase and +skills from BK.

you might have to rely on AR Gc's for the high chance to hit.
what charms did u plan on using instead of ar/life?

Another option to increase your chances of hitting without compromising your gear or charm space would be equipping your merc with an Infinity polearm. The conviction aura he grants helps out a lot when trying to whack baddies with low AR. I have a Beast-wielding necro with base dex (does have torch and anni) that can hit Hell Baal a good 75% of the time due to the merc's aura.

Why don't you do a dual wield titan WW barb:

    http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/9858/poledancerpvmnd2.jpg

The weapons are EBOTD Zerkers. The merc is a might merc w/ pride polearm. That barb in the picture is a vita barb, going titan would give you 500%ED higher (+1000 min, +2500 max w/ ebotd zerkers assuming no +damage on charms). If you look at damage over time, dual wield WW is far greater than even fully synergized zerk:

6170 avg. per axe @ 2 hits per 4 frames.
    = 12340 avg. per 4 frames.
    = 3085 avg. per frame

You would need a 27.7k average 9 frame zerk to equal that damage output, however you can't leech from zerk and you can from WW, meaning you'd basically be constantly rejuving while you're hitting non-PI monsters.

Berserk is without a doubt the worst main attack skill for barb
Berserk is without a doubt the best secondary attack skill for barb

back in the day i had a titan ww barb with a ebotd great poleaxe. with ik and arreat's, perhaps a ravenfrost, i never dropped a point into dexterity.

i wound up with about a 10k whirl, without any fancy auras.
