Need Advice on 1H Barb Weapon

Hey guys,

I need some advice on price ranges for a decent 1H Barb weapon with a few specific mods. I know that the prices are quite skewed and change everyday to both availability (mostly AH or private trades on forums like these), however I'm still pretty lost when it comes to certain values.

Anyway, here are the mods I'm looking for on the theoretical weapon--let's call it weapon X:

Weapon X

• 800+ DPS (Doesn't have to be super high like 1.5k or anything)
• 200-300 Life on Hit (I know the higher end LoH like 500-600 is expensive)
• 150-180 VIT
• 120+ STR
• 6% (or higher) IAS
• Random Elemental Damage (200-300 to 600-700 or higher)

That's about all I'm looking for. Other mods certainly would be awesome, but even just STR/VIT/LoH on the AH can run up to 10mil, and that's even with low DPS.

I was just curious on what you all thought is the maximum price I should pay on a weapon such as this, as I only have 5mil gold and I don't want to get ripped off (live and learn, sure, but it's taken me quite a while to get even that much).

Thanks for your help, and believe me I'm open to all suggestions when it comes not only to farming for items, but what mods are useful.

Currently my Barbarian's build is a tank with lower-end DPS. I want to be able to survive and have tons of HP. Right now I have 62k HP, 800 All Resist (buffed), 9k Armor (buffed), but my VIT is around 11xx because of Life % items. My STR is around 1000+ and my DPS is only 9.7k.

Also here is my Barb's current weapon, as a comparison:

Currently Equipped Weapon:

• 724 DPS
• 120 STR
• xx% Chance of 800-1200 Bleed Damage (can't remember specific %)
• 6% IAS
• 250=600 Arcane Damage

Mainly I want to leech health and survive more than anything else. I don't really care about doing insane damage.

Hello,
There are many items to consider. The lower LOH should not be too difficult to find. The IAS with high stats could push you over the edge on your price point.
My suggestions:
1) Search with the LOH/Str/Vit you want.
2) Sort by DPS
3) Look through them to see which have IAS given your DPS requirement.
4) Look to augment your IAS through the purchase of a ring or neck that could add some IAS instead off the weapon itself. This could keep the price down and get more bang for your buck.


My guess is a sword with 800+ DPS and the stats you want is going to be more like the 5-8 Mil range+ given the good tanking stats and that is 6 prop roll.

im looking for something 750-850 dps / any amount of crit dam / 400+ LoH

i wanna spend about 1.5-2 mil but so far, those seem to be closer to 4-5 mil

you want high str and high vit AND ias in there too.. no way, not for 5 mil... I've been checking 1h weaps about every 8 hours for the last week waiting to grab one for 2-3 mil with way less than what you're looking for... you're request on the vit/str is too high to hope for for anywhere near 5 mil ( at this point in time )
