Need a Uber Diablo runner

So I made a generic hammerdin on LADDER: 20 conc hamma HS & vigor and I have decent gear but no combat charms. I want a char who can take care of the D clone, soooo, should I go with the 20 BA and a boring traditional hammerdin, or can I kill D clone (w/out skill charms) and make the all too fun Lovely_Gods LIBBY with 20 CHARGE!! BASICALLY, has anyone been able to kill D clone with a ~4-5k damage hammerdin??? :flip: The fate of my hammerdin now rests on you all-- thx.

i have never faced uber, but according to my friend with 8-9k hammers hes impossible to kill alone.... better stick with the pure hammerdin, IMO they aren't that boring.

I've Heard that Frost Zealot's do well againsts DClone, go with the one that focuses on cold dmg, and a weapon that "prevents monster from healing" and a high res's and u should be fine that is if u want to remake or just make a frosty to try out.

Hammers really work wonders on him... I had 11k hammers when I faced off with him in a hell game with 4 friends, and I was the only one dealing realistic damage. I don't see why 8-9k wouldn't be enough, but I don't think the charge would be the best choice... never really heard of a charger kicking the crap out of DClone... :thumbsup:

I'd say stick with the pure hammerdin build for DClone... for PvP, a libby would be 100% better, and for PvM, perhaps a little more exciting. But if you're looking for effectiveness against a boss like DClone, a pure hammerdin would be a good choice.

ya i was just saying a Liberator would be more fun because i could use him for pvp too, assuming he could handle d clone. but from what you guys are saying a liberator without combat charms can't handle d clone, correct?

I think it could handle it, but a pure hammerdin, IMHO, would be more effective, and kill quicker.

I used charge against d's clone, and it kept locking and not letting me use it after everytime d's clone killed me. I don't suggest charge because aftwer d's clone kills you, you must exit game and return and it got annoying.

The last three times I've faced him I've just hammered him to death with 10K hammers, took a bit of time, two or three minutes maybe and half a belt of full rejs each time but not really a problem. I use a pure hammerdin.

That is a link to a thread about 10 threads down from this one. It talks about many different characters that are good at killing DClone.(Smiter and Kicker being the two fastest)

This seems to be a common repost among these forums. just a thought but sometimes it helps to read first.

level 1 smite + crushing blow + open wounds + prevent monster heal = dead uber

id say any paladin who has even 1 point in smite should be able to kill him promptly, if you need some leech, use dracul's grasp

I've seen a Zeal Pally (he had shaftshop, schaffers, stormshield + other stuff) kill him solo like the 3rd day of 1.10. if that helps =\

Smiter killing DC in 10-20 seconds

the most important things are:
life tap (form Dracul's Grasp or exile, i prefer dracks + hoz)
enough ias
and some crushing blow
sometimes laserator (amp) is good

and it's all

My Zealot owns d clone in about 40 seconds. The reason so is stormlash :thumbsup: Its static triggers at least once every zeal for me and really brings down his hp. Also its got 33 crushing blow, add in gores and you have 58 crushing blow which is more than enough when you have static. Enchant from demon limb enables me to hit him. Life tap from dracs keeps me alive. I don't even use pmh, if i did I could probably bring my time down even more. GL and HF hunting d clone with whatever char you choose :howdy:
