After much internal debate, I have decided to post my opinion on how this thread has gotten out of hand. And also why Necrochild313 should apologize and STFU himself.

What i think you wont go far with that build unless you got high level lower resist level en item that lower % to enemy poison resistance

If you want melee i advise to pick a real fighter class rather then a poor melee poison dagger mancer.

againandagain clearly states the potential to 'go far' in his first sentence. He then states an opinion in the second sentence. I believe he is entitled to that much. He left something constructive, therefore he should be allowed to leave his opinion.

Necrochild313 then proceeds to lash out:

What takes more skill? Beating hell with a ebotd barb or a daggermancer?

He never said that it required more skill to beat hell with an ebotd barb. He just stated that barbs were more geared towards melee. Perhaps reading againandagain's over again would benefit you Necrochild. Who do you think you are; telling someone to 'stfu'? There are plenty of other ways to disagree with someone. Telling them to 'stfu' is totally unnecessary and lowers you to a level that is unbefitting of this forum. This sudden lash out also displays a bit of obsessive ness... doesn't it? I would dare say, "'It's just a game."

Necrochild313 then has the audacity to defend his undeserved hostility towards againandagain...

Fight fire with fire, flame with flame, I remember back in the day when necros were the underdog and we got plenty of "omg x is better than necros" This is simply a rehatch in the form of "omg x is better than daggermancer"

oh yeah, I won't bother boosting ash's ego by "saying something like Ash Housewares would say", he only wants his post count boosted.

He never said that the Necro was a poor character, but that the Barbarian is in fact more of a melee build. A very well known fact.

He stated a factual opinion. He never outright said, "The Necro sucks you stupid joob. The Barb would pwn your a**." At least, I didn't read anything of that nature.

I think that you, Necrochild313, owe againandagain an apology and should perhaps take a break from this wonderful game we call Diablo.

I do agree with Necrochild on one issue though, the PDagger necro does rock.

As a side note, if this gets me banned, then it will have been well worth it. What has a forum come to when its veterans start lashing out on newcomers. :drink: MM, lol. I don't want to be part of a forum that flames people for their opinions.

If you feel this way about a post again, the best thing you can do is send a PM to our resident Mod Dark Knight. If the post is indeed in violation with the forum rules, or abusive to a particular person he will decide an appropriate course of action. DK has urged us time and time again not to hesitate to send him a PM. If something bothers you, send a PM to DK.

Alternatively you can send a PM to the person who committed the violation. Explain to that person what you think and why you think it. Maybe you can work it out as gentlemen. It is a much more clean way of doing things.

Although NC could have expressed himself a little bit friendlier I can relate to his post. After posting in the Necro forum for a long time, I have seen a lot of posts about how bad Necro’s are. A lot of people have come in to this forum over the last few years to bash our beloved class, not to mention being the butt of every joke regarding weak characters in Diablo. That kind of abuse gets tiring and obnoxious. We learned a long time ago that being rude to people who make such posts is the quickest way to get rid of them.
So when I first read the post of againandagain, I also thought that this was another Necro bashing comment and felt the exact same way that NC expressed. It probably wasn’t againandagain’s intention to bash the class, but it did feel that way. A case of misunderstanding a post with flames as a result.

The “Don't diss my pdagger noobs. Fleshripper pwn joo.†comment was a joke as a reply to the clarification given by againandagain, hence the emoticon at the end of the post. After reading the thread again I think NC and againandagain solved their dispute right there.

Now I think I really need that drink. My throat is getting dry. :drink:

Well said. I would agree, a lot of people do bash our Necros and that is unfair. I do however recall someone welcoming againandagain to the NECRO forum.. Mad Mantis. I don't think againandagain is here to bash us, he wants to be one of us. And what happens to a culture that turns on its own?

Perhaps you should reread my whole post... NC told him to, 'STFU'. If that isn't harsh, I don't know what is. Please read everything before posting something.

We had a small forum crash a couple of months back. A lot of threads were lost, including about four different threads from a certain Necro player, whose name eludes me for the moment. All of these threads were hate-threads. He bashed and flamed the Necro, a few forum members and most of what we had established as facts. After those threads I believe everything is possible.

You did make a clear point and I understood it. I just wanted to point out that it isn’t impossible.

It conflicts like this that are driving long time posters away from this forum imo. The clash between the old and new posters (& i am not referring to post counts) have cropt up time and time again of late and they wonder why Vets don't give opinions anymore.

If things go on i doubt any of the Vets are going to return or remain very much longer. The same happened with Lunatic, the other day, the list goes on.

I do understand that this is merely misunderstanding on both parties but i can't seem to see this this kind of confrontation happening for the last time. As MM already suggest any problems or queries can be esclaated to DK, so i think we can all do without threads of this kind cluttering up the forum as at the end of day it not doing anybody any good.

btw - Planet singling yourself out and making out that your sacrificing yourself for the greater good, don't you think your coming on a bit too melodramatic, does it really that serious that you have to turn yourself into "BraveHeart"- cause it kinda of old here as i am from scotland :lol:

Firstly, this thread is wrong.

A) This isn't the way to draw attention to this.
B) Its not "your fight"... its up to againandagain to see how offended he is and deal with it (correctly, mind you).

Secondly.. a PM to me *is* the correct way of handling stuff like this, and because you did do this I'm willing to put this thread down to you being fairly new and not knowing exactly how things work.

As for the conflict in question... my thoughts are in that thread.
