necro in pits
is a bonemancer ableto run pits or is there a lot of immunes against him there?
There are no Magic Immune monsters in the Pit.
sorry noob question : Where is the pit?
"The Pit" is the Dungeon found below Tamoe Highlands, the last grassland map in Act 1 before you enter the Outer Cloister.
It's a comparatively popular area because it has very high level (so everything can drop there), but it's still populated with harmless and easy-to-kill Act 1 monsters.
Make sure you have Dim Vision and a strong Bone Prison or Wall to shut down archer packs and you will tear through the place, my lvl ** does it with ease with sub-optimal gear.

I haven't thought about dim vision before but it may be useful.
DV is godly vs. ranged attackers, but doesn't work on bosses, so Bone Prison works great for that.
Best feature of DV is that it also shuts down piercing missile monsters like gloams, souls, and those bone spear firing serpents. Prison isn't nearly as effective in these situations. Plus...Prison doesn't play well with party members, but DV is greatly appreciated when the Throne of Destruction is full of Black Souls (or similar ranged threats).
Get it to level 12-15 minimum (with +skill items) by the time you reach hell and you're set.
God I hate Gloams, I died 3 times last night with 1 hit from Gloams in Kurast....
DV is level 17 but they were quicker on the draw...and I had -59 lightning res...
