N quick answer will a lvl 9 FO (with gear) and a lvl 9 CM be able to kill stuff in a pit run? I'm a lightning sorc, but I feel that I need a second element, almost everyone says cold (and especially FO) get great dmg quick... So, does a lvl 9 FO and CM have the killing power for the pits??? N an answer quick, cuz I'll start to ignore FO afterwards thx
you are talking about having 1/4 the normal dmg ppl get from FO. that doesn't factor in the lack of the mastery. it will be weak, but it will kill the lightning immunes given enuf time. although i have a pure lightning sorc that does pit runs fine except for the lack of res. iether have your merc kill the immunes or teleport by them. if there are too many, just start a new game.
well, I already put one point into FO, but A merc... never even considered it... What merc would you suggest? (and gear too pls) btw, thx for tha quick reply
the popular mercs now are A2 mercs. the useful ones are: holy freeze- chills enemies, defensive, can be a great help if you are slow at killing might- offensive, for having him kill as fast as he can without any aid to you while you are killing defiance- defensive, if yoiu have a lot of defense, this will help a lot if you don't need slower enemies. gear for any merc is really simple. get a high dmg weapon, as much life leech as is possible and something for armor. tals helm is 10 LL which is great. i forget the name of the weapon everyone uses for these mercs. my HF merc uses a 212 dmg rare wep i found. barbarians are also good mercs. good tanks, decent dmg. EDIT: ethereal items are really good on mercs. not only is it extra dmg/defense, but items on mercs don't lose durability.
