    Myth about Pit Run

Is it true that good drops will not appear in Pit Run after you had clear act 1 hell? Thanks

Absolutely not. There is no foundation to that 'myth' whatsoever.

This seems to be an offshoot of the Andariel bug, but I can assure you drop quality is not affected by completing or not completing certain areas of the game.

Once you have killed Andariel, town portal back to town and talk to several random NPC's before exiting. This 'activates' her bug.

The bug is whereby each of her subsequent drops are considered as her first drop and therefore subject to the first drop bonus.

For the record, Nightmare Andariel is the best source of Stones of Jordan...

If you're concerned about this, why not just try running one of the 'pit' areas in the higher acts to see if the drops are any better there? There are 'pit run' areas in every act you know.

The Pit in the Tamoe Highlands along with The Masoleum (you can even count Ancient Tunnels) are quite possibly the easiest level 85 areas to run.

There is no need to point him in the direction of other areas, when simply the belief he was put under is not correct.

I thought you were supposed to talk to NPC and travel to act2 before exiting, was I mistaken?

I thought so as well, however, I've been placed under the impression you simply need to exit. I think it's safe to say travelling to Act II couldn't hurt! :)

First, I think I'll disagree about the ease of running the higher act level 85 areas. I prefer the higher act areas personally, and I've never had any difficulty running them. I use different characters for different areas, and they each run their own areas with ease.

Second, I should have been clearer in my first post. The point I was attempting to make was that if you run the other acts' level 85 areas & you are seeing the same type of drops there that you do in the act 1 level 85 areas, then you will have proven for yourself that the drop quality doesn't change because you have or have not completed whatever quest(s).

just another thing about the andy bug, when u kill her u make ur own tp to town (not the one coming from her) and then talk to people there, but what about the guy taking u to act 2? and who is it that u complete the quest at? should u not complete the quest or something? im a bit of a noob here.. if someone could explayin it very thoroughly (spelling? :p) it would be very appreciated :p

Okay, IIRC, the Andy drop bug is that Andariel will drop everytime like her quest drop. The quest drop is the first time you kill an act boss they will have a better drop or at least the potential. To activate all you have to do is talk to an NPC, any NPC (as far as I know). Since you have to talk to Warriv anyways to travel to act 2, so you're pretty much guaranteed to activate the bug. Also, it has nothing to do with with tp you use to get to town.

That may have something to do with a the Imbue quest, which not that many people do. The other known way is to save and exit before talking to a NPC, but after slaughtering Andy.

Interesting. Where does the Imbue quest come into it? It must be done?
