My PvP Zealot...Suggestions?

Hello all, I play on West SC Ladder and I just got my pvp zealot to 85.
My Gear:
Weapon: 274% EDC
Shield: Eth Alma Negra 745 def
Helm: Perfect Ber Ber CoA
Armor: +2 Eth Valor 2k+ def
Belterfect Dungos
Boots: Upped 200% gores
Gloves: Perfect Rends
Rings: 241/20 247/20 ravens
Ammy: Highlords
Switch Weapon: 6/6/1 Cta
Switch Shield: BO Spirit
Charms: Have just over half my inventory filled with max/ar/life charms, few GC's and a bunch of small charms along with a 20 stat anni and 20 stat ptorch

He is for GM dueling so he doesnt use an exile but he does have 112% deadly strike, 50%dr and 75% block. However his numbers seem pretty low.

Damage = 1900-6100
Defense = 24800
AR = 10400
Life with BO = 2663

I always played east before and exile was allowed for zvz dueling and that really hurts my defense but my AR is really bothering me. With my extra charm space I think ill go for 100+ AR GC's. My life also seems pretty low. I think my damage is fine since I have so much DS.

Anyone have any suggestions or know where to get GM melee duels on West Ladder?

looks nice, but what the are u using that arm, use a eth zoded upped shaftstop or a forti, that arm i hate it :jig:

First of all, get to lvl 92 at least. It won't take you too long and you will gain life, defense (from pumping defiance) and greater chance to hit.

You are having an excess of deadly strike from your gear. I would personally experiment with a few changes. I would ditch the gores at first and get a pair of ik boots that offer attack rating and life.
Another set up would be (gores on) ditching highlord's and 1xraven and replacing them with angelic amulet and ring, or using a cham non eth alma and angelic amulet/2xrings. This would seriously pump your ar, give some life and the damage sacrifice won't be that terrible.

Since you are now on west where grief/fortitude seem perfectly gm (like europe) , try getting a grief phase and pairing it with a fortitude ,cham alma and angelics. Massive damage right there.

Here's what I would do in your situation:
Swap your armor for a shaft of some sort then change boots/belt to hsarus. You'll keep your 50% dr, gain a bit of life and a lot of attack rating. You should still be at very close to 100% deadly strike - with a few levels it'll be back at 100.

I know I need to level some more as that always helps.

I have an eth upped shaft and the defense is almost as high as the valor. Lose the vit from the valor but the 60 life from the shaft counters that, and having more dr with the shaft would allow me to socket my coa with ed/max jewels.

As for grief, I have heard that its BM on west, Ill check into that though and I have a few 3800+ eth fortitudes that I would probably use in tournaments. (Any idea how long they would hold up? Won't be using them if they break after one duel)

Anyone know where to get some GM melee duels on West Ladder? I tried to test him out but only got exile zealots and smiters

If you go with shaft (my personal favorite) many options open. You can use coa/shaft and hsarus boots/belt together with highlord's/ravens. Or shaft/dungo together with visionary helmet with any shield you wish (alma,exile,phoenix) or shaft/coa with full angelics,trang belt and gores, etc etc etc.

Yah I think you are right, the shaft opens many more possibilities. Ill try some things out and let you guys know.

Yo, in terms of the GM melee scene on ladder grief isn't BM, but using ethereal items that cannot be repaired (ie. so self repair or ind bug) is. Msg me for melee vs. my kicker (zeal usually destroys em) if you want, my account is in the dueler registry.

Why on Earth are you using ETH Alma? Just for the AR Bonus?
Use an eHoz instead.

Rends arent the best option either, Bloodfists are much better imo.

There's a debate between which is better the EHoZ or Eth Alma, I would choice Eth Alma

You said Bloodfists????are you serious? Guess what, the tinny 18 defence isn't gonna help you a lot, the mods on bloodfists doesn't fit the build of a Zealot vs Zealot build. You need the ED/Strength from rends + the High defence it provides. Obviously Rends Beats out any gloves for GM zealots, Draculs might not be allowed due to Tap, the only glove that can TOP Rends, is 20%Ias/stats/cb/life crafted or rare gloves, and thats only if he needs the IAS.

REMEMBER, this guy is going GM, NO TAP from Exile or Draculs.

Btw, he already has a Ber Ber CoA, so Why eth upped shaft?? geez.... don't tell him to switch out everything that he'll need to rebuild again...Use a Eth Prudence or AP Fort.

Though I must admit that your AR is SUPER Low...Try reach around 17k++ with Highlords/Raven/Raven. Either that, or Angelics with 22k++AR, but after using angelics you'll need to use a 20%IAS glove/stats/cb/life glove to have max 60%IAS bp with EDC.

Other than that, nice gears, remember to upgrade those Ravens to HIGH near Perfect, and get better charms to UPP those low ARs.

Your damage seems fine for a EDC user.

I would also like to suggest you to use a HOZ socketed with a Fal rune for strength glitch on switch when you BO, basically taking advantage of 30+strength from HoZ to carry the rest of the equipment.(maybe someone will help explain this better). HoZ+CtA buff will UP your defence a lot.

In my realm(EAST NL), we consider EdeathZ(I know....), Grief(poison damage), and Eth Cara(due to iron maiden). I'm not sure, there might be more, but these are the for sure ones that people don't like to use. Quite frankly, we don't consider Fort that Bm though.

since when is exile BM... i duel on east ladder and every elite zealot uses exile...

Some realms don't like items that has chance to cast curses, but when a Zealot uses Lifetap, the other person is ALSO allowed to use Lifetap.
