My Orb Sorc Build

Well, I would appreciate a little input to critique my PvP Orb sorc build. Here it goes;

EQUIPMENT

Weapon: Perfect or near perfect Death's Fathom
Armor: Dusk Shroud CoH, Enigma, or some other armor?
Shield: Sanctuary Grim Shield
Helm: Perfect or near perfect Nightwing's Veil
Belt: Arachnid mesh
Boots: Sandstorm trek's
Gloves: FrostBurns, lol
Rings: 2 x sojs
Amulet: Some sorc ammy with +2skills, resists, and +stre or 29 resist maras

Inventory: Lots of small life charms, a couple cold skillers, and an annihilus


SKILLS

Max Orb
Max Ice Bolt
Max Cold Mastery
1 teleport and all of its pre-skills
1 Mana shield, then all extra skills go into this
1 cold shield
1 warmth


Well, I hope I did not forget anything. How does my build sound?

Also, could some people help me on some SCNL East price-checkups? How much are the following for SCNL East?

-Perfect//Near perfect Death's Fathom
-Perfect//Near perfect CoH
-Perfect//Near perfect Sanctuary Grim shield
-Perfect//Near perfect Nightwing's Veil
-Decent Treks, preferably etheral
-Decent Anni charm
-Couple cold skillers (would a light with 6 dex = 2 cold skillers? Would a Fire with 12 faster run/walk = 1-2 Cold skillers?)

well, first of all you would want to max es last and max telekneises b4 ice bolt, its much more important. I used to play on the first ladder season when i had converted i stayed nl for about a month. there we're the prices when i left nl, these might not be accurate so im sorry if im wrong.

near perf fathom can go for up to 3-6 high runes
nw can go for 1-2 ist
coh is about the same as enigma so about 2 high runes
sanc im not really sure, but i think about 1 ist (btw sanc can only go in troll nest, grim cant get 3 soks)
arach is ist
eth treks can go for ist but for normal ones you can get them cheap.
frostburns... lol indeed
2x soj you can get for about 1 ist
for the maras they can go for quite high, up to 2 high runes.

the skillers are 2 for 1 ist for a normal ones
anni im not sure about since i dont like taking the risk
vita charms are about 2 for ist (i think)

If you will be using ES, make sure you max Telekenisis first, otherwise you will have no mana after 1 shot or so... rendering you useless... otherwise it looks good... depending how much you rely on ES, if its alot your mana may be kinda low.

As for price checks, the the price forum would probly give you faster responses than anyone here... maybe... although in the future it would be best to ask there. Good luck!

Wow guys, thanks for the help! My main concern is over my items. Are they just about "the top of the line"? Can I get any better?

Also what do you think my orb damage will be with all of my equipment, couple skill charms, ice bolt maxed, and cold mastery maxed?

I'm guessing a good 1.4k-1.7k orb dmg?

your gear is first class and 1.4-1.7k orb dmg is quite high, congrats :strong:

sure wouldnt want to meet you in the dueling game :scared:

Grim shields cannot spawn with 3 sockets, therefore sanctuary in a grim shield is non existant... I suggest towershield, for its low requirements and high block rate.

As some of the others said, its very important you max telekenesis, then start dropping points into ES.

yuqing- i didnt make my orb sorc yet .... my damage was an estimate

pryzmatik2- eeeewwww tower shield? I decided to go with a troll's nest. I also decided to max Orb, ice bolt, cold mastery, then telekenisis .... if I have any extra, they will go into Energy shield

also, I should MAX cold mastery, right?

i have a lvl 37 orb sorc right now in progess shes got max ice bolt, almost orb, gonna max coldmastery, im thinking of making it metor for the imunes in hell but im not sure any suggestions

Munkey, some things i missed in your build:
fcr, VERY important. With the setup you mentioned you get 40 fcr from df and arach, and thats it, 63 breakpoint is a minimum. Try getting a sorc amu with fcr. Also i find engima and coh a bit useless for this build (lack of fcr) Upgraded viper (if you dont want to use fcr amu) or +3 es ormus would have my preference.
Second of all, i personally find the max es build better then the 1 point es. My sorc has all energy, with about 91% mana shield (im too lazy to reach lvl 40, memory staff really helps in that btw, good ones have +9 es) The trade off in damage is not that bad, as a 1k (or prob about 1.1-1.2k with ormus) still does enough damage. (as others already mentioned, telekinesis maxed is a MUST)
Max cold mastery is also important

Ow yeah, since you are wearing sandstorms req str 91 + 15 --> 106, is enough for a troll nest, so that would be best pick for ur sanc

my sorc --> 20 fo, 20 cm, 20 tk, 20, es, preq, some in warmth, some in ib

Thanks for the advice Dael. Yah, I will have FCR from Death's Fathom, Arach, and I will be wearing a FCR ammy. But if the ammy is only 20 FCR, that will leave me with 60 total FCR ... You said the FCR breakpoint is 63. That wont be enough, so what would I do? Hmmm, I'm so close to perfectly finishing off my Orb sorc.
