My Meteorb - which way am I better off?

I'm a MF meteorb and have a Shako with an um in it and a Tal Rasha's horadic crest. My weapon is Occy and I have Tal's belt. My questoin is am I better of using the Shako for MF or trading it for more of Tal's set? Shako is a lot better than Tal Rasha's Horadic Crest IMO, but I'm wondering if Tal's combined effect is more effective than if I used Occy/Shako. Is Tal's the IDEAL build for an MF sorc or might I be better of with a shako?

Tals is the ideal set for meteorb. It offers so much that it trumps most other setups.

I wouldn't trade the shako away for tal's pieces unless you can trade it for the tal armor, the rest should be gotten cheaply or found fairly easily. If you can't get the armor piece then just go with what you've got for now until you can afford the tal armor.

Would I be making a good trade in getting rid of Oculus and Shako for Tal's Armor and Lidless eye or is the eye cheap?

n/m, i got the set pieces mixed up. Tal's Lidless Eye is a pretty cheap item, so I'd focus on getting the armor and amu. an Occy and a Shako probably won't quite get you there, but it depends on the seller.

So guess what? I already had found the helm and the belt and I ended up getting the ammy, armor, and lidless eye for a shako, a small charm, and a skin of the vipermagi. I got pretty lucky and have the full set now

Wow, sounds like you got the better end of that deal. Grats. Grab some Magefists, a Spirit Monarch and an FCR ring if you need it to hit 105% FCR, and you'll be rockin'.
