Does gold finding armor on a mercenary help me out at all?

Not sure about gf, but magic find is add to yours if your merc land the kill shot.

GF works the same as MF -- if your merc gets the killshot, his GF adds to your GF in determining how much gold will drop. If you kill the enemy, the merc's GF does not add.

Usually your merc doesn't do much kills, and the mod itself is not so useful, so I wouldn't use the armor on him, unless it got any other useful properties...
