my frost zealot sucks :/

im a bit of a newbie so please dont shout at me
ive been trying to follow the frost zealot guide from here, but it doesnt seem to be working too well for me, my damage is **** at level 62 at only 900-1100?? and holy freeze damage 100 ish. i thought this was alright till i reealised every1 elses dmg is about 2.5k-3.5k!!! What the hell have i done and how should i have done a paladin to get that kind of damage?

BULLCRAP!!!
My level 64 frosty deal 600-800 damage and I think he do fine in NM (at least I can use him to creep for items in NM Act 5 ).......
Do I have low expectation or what??

well i have extremely bad armour and not very good shield at the moment.come to think of it the rings and amulet is **** too (lol!). every1 always mentions weapons but i have never found em.. but the stuff is
helm- crown of theives
weapon- hand of blessed light
armour- stealth "taleth"
shield- the ward
boots- gore rider war boots
gloves- beast finger demonhide gloves
rings- doom circle & wraith touch
amulet- nokozan relic

*runs and hides as realises how bad this is "

erm skills-
i have something with + skills in, so
14 zeal (main skill)
22 holy freeze (main aura)
17 resist cold
7 holy shield (put 5 pts in but +2 cos of skiller)
and before that there is 7 sacrifice, contributing to zeal and then a few other prerequisites.

Yes. Try to make a "black" scourge if your poor. Its a pretty good weapon. Guillaummes face is a cheap and very good helm.

Agreed... crushing blow is definitely the route to take. Those 2 items Aura said are cheap, and then you should keep an eye out for items such as gore riders, venom grips (or, another easy way of more CB would be to craft some blood gloves), and other items listed in the guides.

Good luck! Don't give up on him yet... I'm sure you'll be happier when you get some better items. :thumbsup:

Elemental zealots are... how can I say it... less effective against large groups of monsters... and have the inconvenient to be lesser effective when facin immunes... even with the right gear you will have some problems in hell...
But that doesnt mean its not viable... I'm trying a shocker and its a really fun char to play...

The lack of good equipment will cripple most char build's, expecially a melee one. i mean you should survive through NM, it's ok its not just you most people except those who are botting, or have had alot more free time to play the new ladder season are lacking alot of good equipment.

I was planning on making a zealot or frosty, but changed my mind and made a smiter pvp instead :\

So yah u need a better ammy, try craft or gamble. look for +2 pally or +3 combat too..

Weapon... yah black runeword is nice, another choice is honor scourge or ettin axe. Even better get a passion ettin or berserker.. Lem might be hard to come by if ur poor but u might get it from nm or hell forge.

1) people with 2.5k-3.5k arent level 62.
2) people with 2.5k-3.5k have charms and +skill gear
3) people with 2.5k-3.5k have 20 pts in salvation


I have 8.5k minimum but thats just me :lol:

If you are east, non ladder, I can try and help you out there. I am sure I have something floating around for a paladin (200 builds or so, lol. should be something you can use). see what I can do to make your paladin a bit easier to play.
