My frost zealot, but I found a Widowmaker, so heres my question:

As of right now

Level 65 Paladin Cenax on East/Softcore/Ladder

BASE SKILLS (As of right now)

1 Sacrifice
20 Holy freeze
20 Cold Resist
20 Sanctuary
Rest into Zeal (For now, its not max yet)

BASE ATTRIBS:

95 STR (All armor equipped)
85 DEX (I got max block with this)
** VIT (Whatever else amount of points I have into it, not sure)

My ultimate armor setup:
Heavens Light
Guardian Angel
Guil Face
HoZ
Venom Grips
Gore Riders
String of Ears
RavenFrost x2
Highlords Amulet

Now, I just found a widowmaker, and im wondering if its a good idea to put it on Weapon Switch.. however to keep the armor being worn on weapon switch, in addition to needing about 40 more Dex, ill need about 20 more strength.. with this bow, I can never have a problem with iron maiden, have guided arrow on a PALADIN with tons of Cold damage added to the attack, and have GREAT possible pvp ability as well.. But if I don't use it, ill have an extra 30 or so stat points in the end game (Or more depending on if I will even USE holy shield or not.. speaking of which why the heck do I need holy shield, with HoZ and Guardian Angel, you get such a high blockrate im at 75% with my dex that LOW! So any help, etc, thanks :D

You'll need more dex, so you could go for that. And if you'll want to wear better stuff, you'll need more strength anyways.

By better stuff I mean: CoH, Beast ba, CoA, etc..

And for one thing you must change, it's that guardian angel. Your resists will be crappy. I'd recommend CoH (that would also solve your 20 strength problem).

...Whatever help that did

if you're just pvm put the pts in dex. you'll need a few more anyway to maintain max block as you level, and they'll also add damage to GA and give you a little more defense, too, so there are multiple benefits for the life you give up.

So is the frost zealot guide all wrong or such then? Can anyone give me a good base STR and DEX for a Frost Zealot? And I said Base, not what itl end up at, what it should be at when im naked :p And this is assuming I dont KNOW what the endgame equipment would be (which i thought was this stuff I have on, since thats what the guide said was the best gear in the game for a frost zealot.)

And what is a CoA anyways? I checked every item in the game on AS, nothing fits that acronym.

Just scroll down to the bottom.

Is the guide all screwed up? As far as gear is concerned, my opinion is: yes.

Judging by the stuff you've got there, you'll end up with 0-5% all resists (assuming you put an um/pdiamond in the zaka). Your cold damage will be good, your leech is poo and you've got no life tap.

What's better? Hm... stuff to aim for (just play around with the possible gear setups)

-Max resists
-Max blocking with holy shield (use the formula)
-Uh.. good defense. By my standards that's 10k and you'll need an exile for it.

-Lots of leech (divided by 3 in hell, remember). My leech was poo at 12%. Maybe 18 would do the trick? I dunno bout this, ain't sure.
-Or: life tap. 15% chance to cast life tap on exile can practically replace leech.

-Around 1k physical damage
-60% or more (preferrably more) crushing blow
-Open wounds is also your friend
-Critical strike doesn't do much.
-4fpa zeal.

-Attack rating is something you can just buff up and forget. Have a demon limb in you stash for the enchant. If you'll also have a blessed aim merc, your won't have ar problems.

-Cannot be Frozen :uhhuh:

-All the damage reduced % you can spare.

I've found one thing, tho: Try not to sacrifice too much damage for defensive stuff. I've played around with setups on single player, and found that exile's life tap keeps you alive very well. And more damage is a good thing. I've found baalruns and cowruns were very lengthy...

Edit: it would help if you told us what you can afford.

Cool.

Well then you can try what I'm using:

-Crown of ages socketed with an ed/ias (the other socket will be either a ber or a cold facet, still don't know)
-Chains of Honor dusk shroud.
-3 offensive 70-something life amulet
-No shield, am looking for something to make exile in.
-Gore riders
-Verdungo's
-Bk ring
-Raven frost (very, very cool ring)
-Gloves... either steelrends or dracul's. Still experimenting. Also considering my 20ias 8%cb 1%ll gloves. But only if I change weapons and find something better than highlord's
-Beast Caduceus - foolishly made in a superior one and is one of the reasons I have not been playing this paladin for about a month.

4 offensive skillers with life. .. max dmg/ar/life sc's... *cough*... poison charms *cough*... *hides in a hole*

Things I believe should be changed: Bk ring, the caddy, the gloves... and if i do change the beast to a ba (again...) I'll switch the amulet with a highlord (again...).

Problems with it: Needs more crushing blow, and more open wounds. I don't know how to get more of it.

Other: My charms are a mess. Needs balancing! Though I figure that I could compensate cb and ow by getting some more poison charms. (cough!)

Weeell.... have a looksie through the items and runewords. Maybe you'll come up with something. Aim for the goals I mentioned.

That's about all I can come up with. Time to hit the sack. Good night and good luck.
