I haven't played DII in years and am just getting back into it. I never really had a great amazon back in the day although I probably had the necessary gear.
from readin some of the sticky's and guides, I got a good idea of the damage potential (I think, assuming its not misconstrued) and wanted to see if this "build" would be viable. I plan on playing STRICTLY PvM with a partner (character To Be Determined) so don't ask, and am definitely, definitely UNTWINKED!
I realize that with out a good bow, "Mage-Azon's" are good as the damage is elemental, but then in Hell I will be less effective and with out a lot of +skills could be smoked... Therefor I would like to create a Hybrid-Zon who utilizes Cold skills for crowd control and good dmg as well as Strafe/GA/MS skills.
My main question is what would be the most effective build, I have an idea but if you could help out it would be great (I probably won't ever get to the 90's but I will never say never) I do however want to be beat the game on Hell with my friend. So here goes.
20-Cold Arrow
1-Ice Arrow
20-Freeze Arrow
1-Magic Arrow
1-Multi Shot (not sure if this is going to be worth it)
5-20 Guided Arrow (should I max this for bosses?
10-20 Strafe (should this get maxed, not scared of lock as have another player, but want to have enough points everywhere to be effective
(on a side note, do the damage increases from upping lvls for GA and Strafe make that much of a difference?)
Passive Skills
1 inner Sight (prereq)
1 Slow Missle (really cool, but need points)
1-10 Decoy (assuming you can have a Decoy cast and a Valk)
5-20 Valkyrie (supposedly this lady is unkillable past Slvl 17)
5-10 Critical Strike (not sure where the "good BP is")
1-10 Penetrate (is this really needed? with a lot of Dex won't I hit most of the time? or any ITD type items)
5+ Pierce (after 7 points it only goes up 2 what is best to do)
Dodge/Avoid/Evade are these worth it? if i have a Valk a Merc and another player with a Merc and such would I need those?
Obviously using the maxes on my skills would lead to having TOO MANY points. so please help me find the right mix. And don't assume I will find many +skill items, maybe 1 or 2 as bows can be found but still untwinked and not doing hundreds of hundreds of MF runs will be hard on my item selection.
