my first casino trip A big group of us spent the night at a nearby casino/hotel for my sister's birthday. Happy to report that I came out ahead $65 off the blackjack table. Casinos have a very interesting atmosphere to them. Great place for people watching. There are the people who are there just for the hell of it (like we were) and are laughing it up, the weekend warriors who are kind of serious but don't care too much, the hard gamblers who are yelling and banging on stuff, the creepy old drunk sleazy guys who made no attempt to hide the oogling of my sister and her friend, and, sadly enough probably the biggest abundance of people were the lonely elder slot machine players. Hundreds of them sitting by themselves clutching their money and staring at the spinning symbols. It's definitely fun. I can see why people like going to Vegas for the weekend every couple of months. As long as you know when to walk away. Anyone got any entertaining casino stories?
