    My finger is advanced.

Something's wrong with my finger (the middle on my right hand). The other day it started to get sore in the middle for some weird reason, not sure why, and now there's a huge buldge sticking out of it, and it feels like bone, I'm sure of it, it's just as hard as the rest of my finger. It's sticking out like 1/4 inch and it looks really twisted. What the hell is it?

A cyst? I have something like that in my wrist. It doesn't hurt or anything, but I think they can cut into you to take it out. I'm just waiting for mine to go away be itself...

has your hand tried to kill you?

actually I have a weird thing going on in the middle of the back of my right hand near my wrist, something screwy with the tendons or something

I would guess I have tendonitis, but it isn't painful

edit: do you crack your knuckles alot?

I've seen similar things happen from spider bites, or some other type of insect... dunno, go see a doc, let him poke and cut it, and pray the doc has cute nurses

Count your blessings that it's not a brown recluse bite. *shudders*

    Google it, I dare you.

Do not do as Savage suggests. Ever. This has been a public service announcement.

Don't remind me, I got bit by one on my thumb on my left hand when I was a kid and it was swollen and infected for a week.

I think the bump on my finger might have something to do with the amount of Gamecube I play.

    Provisional diagnosis

It sounds to me that you may have a case of tenosynovitis. All this means is that the tendons of the muscles that control finger bending and the protective sheaths around those tendons that go through a joint (the synovial sheaths) have become inflamed due to constant use above and beyond normal wear-and-tear.

The best treatment is to avoid the Gamecube for a while and to massage the area to keep the muscle and the tendons in-play so they don't lock up.

I don't think its cool to mock people's hand injuries, to teach you a lesson I am placing a hex on you KOW

you must now play 4 straight hours of the original Mario Party every day for the rest of your life

I'm going easy on you, 4 hours isn't too bad

How do you use your middle finger to play video games, though? I doubt it's because of Gamecube.

You've just got to lvl 97 on Mario and get a power cut. The middle finger is used to salute the Gamecube in the hope it will grant you a saved game sometime in your last 10 hours of play.

Another thing it might be. (that my brother had a year or so ago)

Not that I payed attention to the symptoms he had... I don't know if it bulged...

But...: Tendons in your fingers have to go through little loops or something that keep them in place. Somehow, you can get them misaligned or bunched up and jammed... My brother had to have minor surgery for that. And they gave him the choice of letting hime watch :spy:

If what I just described is tendonitis, well its not my fault i'm ignorant and blissful about what I take for granted so much :buddies:
