My date

My date

I went on a date this evening. I took the lady to a resteraunt named 'Eddie V's' where I swear we had the best meal I have ever had the pleasure of eating. I'm kinda picky about my food so I'm not shy about complaining when something isn't quite right.

We started with lobster bisque and their signature crab cake appetizers that, I swear, was some of the best crab I have ever eaten. the bisque was soooo creamy and the crab cake, well, I think I hurt myself eating it. I chose the swordfish and she had the parmasian crusted sole. Again, all I can say is they were both supurb. but I have to save the best for last.

We shared a godiva chocolate cake with some kind of pudding center. My eyes watered and my toes wiggled when I ate that.

Anyway, I can honestly say that this was the best $160 I have ever invested.

I think my date gained 20 pounds tonight.

Oh man, that sounds really awesome and makes me incredibly hungry right now. I hope you paid attention to your date as much as you did to the food :wink3:
All this talk of expensive food, reminds me of the field trip I get to go on next week for my french class to a 5 star french restaurant where we get to have a $70+ lunch for a mere $25. The teacher even told us to dress nicely because it's a classy restaurant.

So, what happen afterwards? Did you remember to take your Cialis for "when the moments right" or what? :wink3:

Ah your talk of a best meal makes me think of Thailand. Just 81 days till I go back. There is a Chinese place on Silom Rd that sells the best Peking Duck I've ever had. And at 12 dollars it is the best deal on the planet. It's about the only place that can draw me away from eating Thai everyday.

I went to Applebee's tonight with my gf.

Half-off appetizers ftw!

Glad you had fun, Freet.

Man, that meal does sound incredible.

When was the last time you had a date if you don't mind my asking?

I find it funny the only thing he talked about in his OP was the food and not the girl...

And I have heard good things about Eddie V's before. One of these days (perhaps when I have $100 to throw around on food) I'll try them out.

Ew, that's like hearing about your grandfather going on a date.

I'm not fond of seafood, but crab and lobster is okay.

Freet is a gentleman and probably didn't want to talk about the lady without her permission. Otherwise I am sure he would regale us with stories of how she was nice enough to carry is cane while he used his stroller and went as far as to pre-chew his food to make it much more easily digestible. What a lady! You should keep her Freet, she will be the talk of your nursing home in no time. :wink3:

That meal sounds delicious, and that's to someone who can't stand seafood if it isn't breaded fish - that says a LOT.

*Puts on a top hat and monocle* Good show, old bean!

sounds pretty nice, but kinda ouch on the 160 dollars, still they seem they went to a good use.

Glad to hear the dinner went so well, hopefully your date enjoyed it as much as you did.

Like others before me though I am curious, do you remember the color of your date's shirt/blouse/dress?
