My best upgrade so far
Not sure what made the difference but when I at first upgraded my graphic card from a ATI 3xxx HD to a ATI 4850 HD I was a little dissapointed from what Id seen on Youtube.Main problem was no matter what graphic settings I used on games I wasn't getting framerates I expected which was my main reason for upgrade,I was able to get better visuals than my previous card but still bad framerates(and lower settings didn't improve framerates much).
I figured a bottleneck with the processor so I upgraded from a single core 2.1GHz AMD Athlon to a dual core 3 GHz AMD and upped memory from 2 to 4 gigs.Anyway suddenly I can achieve smoother framerates and AA seems to make little difference to framerate and my biggest wow factor was I can capture 1680 1024 AVIs with Fraps and games are still playable(I can forget Fraps is even running).
I do recommend not upgrading too frequently because two reason one its expensive to try and keep up with the latest and two you get a more appreciable upgrade.
