    Muling

I played this game for the first time in like 2 years and now I have started building some characters off the website. I have some items that would work well on characters, so I need to know how I can transfer my stuff from one character to another with only one comp. By the way this is on east ladder

Make a game and stay in it for 5 minutes, then xfer the item. Don't switch in between chars to quick, or you will get booted from bnet.

Another thing you can do is find a game that exists already for more than five minutes, and mule there. Make sure that you don't drop your items in the Rogue Encampement then, where everyone can find them, but go to another area or even another act. This way you can mule faster, but it is less safe, and I prefer the way described above as well.

For safety purposes (when you make a game yourself):

    1) Exit the game without dropping something first, and then rejoin it to check if it permed without any problems. If you are able to join it, then you can drop something safely.

    2) Make sure that you don't set a level requirement, or that you make a game in a difficulty that the character you provide equipment for can enter. You won't lose your items if you do (you can just pick them up again with the first character) but it is annoying, since you have to wait five minutes again in a new game.

That's dangerous because the game can be full when you return. If you make an own game, wait 6 minutes (it's 5 actually but don't take the risk, game is gone when you leave it too soon) and don't switch chars too fast, it's always working (if you have a good enough internet connection ;)

So even if I create a password protected game, am the only one in it, but stay in it for 5+ min, it'll be around for another 5 min after I leave?

If that's true.. I think that's the only way I'm gonna mule in the future... I hate taking chances even though I've only been burnt twice while muling.

U still take a chance losing items when self-xferring in permed games by:
    1. Realm crash
    2. Realm down

    Self-xfer always comes w/ a risk.....

Yeah, true, another reason why I prefer the "self-muling".
