Muling between NORMAL and LADDER characters - is that possible?

I have some really good items on normal, but I play now only ladder.
Should I forget my items???

Transfer items from non-ladder to ladder and vice versa is not possible. The only time ladder items become non-ladder is when a new ladder season starts.

you could always try a non-ladder to ladder trade. but ladder prices tend to be higher, so you'll lose some value in the trade. make sure you use a moderator or only trade with someone with a high post count if you go that route. and if that doesn't work, pick a number between 1 and 100 giveaways are always popular.

I've heard that Blizzard plans to transform all ladder characters to normal ones "sometime". Does anybody know when??

that's what happens when the ladder resets. no one knows when it'll happen. but considering they just came out with new ladder only runewords not too long ago, I wouldn't expect it anytime soon.
